makes me SO proud to be Kenyan :)

  • Great video - an inspiration for all of us. RIP lady.

  • Does anyone know of a way in which we can download a high resolution file to share this with children in India?

  • @bittusahgal there are many ways you can do that ..you can either use freeyoutubedownloader .. in which you would be able to maximize the quality of video .. and there are many web sites too .. you can google them ...

  • Very inspiring and motivational story with a strong, world altering moral to it. We should all be like the hummingbird and then we would see the fruits of our labor and effort; a world that sustains peace, love and unity.

  • So many times you hear of Africans and the way they embarrass the continent and their ancestors. How they are examples of what not to do, but here is a woman worth looking up to. RIP Wangari Maathai...

  • Its a sad day. Wangari Maathai, Nobel Peace Prize winner and creator of the the African Greenbelt Movement just died. For those of us here in India who battle on regardless of the odds, she left us this poignant message. I met her just once in New Delhi, but I take great strength from her as I deeply mourn her loss.

  • RIP Lady, very inspirational lady you were!
