TechTV and screen savers will never come back as long as corporate politics are in the way. It's not about what people want more - obviously, if it were, they'd bring them back. It's about what makes them more revenue due to advertising - companies pay big bucks for them to show off things like xbox, ps3, games, etc etc. Companies don't pay them to tell you how to fix things these days.

Besides A.O.T.S., X-PLAY & CHEATERS, Tech-tv is way better than G4.If they were to have those three shows plus all of the original tech-tv shows, tech-tv would stomp G4 to the ground. Tech-tv is was more informative than G4 and Tech-tv had something to do with the channel. On the other hand G4 has two shows that were based on technology and they have other cheesy shows that have nothing to do with the channel.

It was a combination of both. Paul Allen grew tired of TechTV and Comcast wanted to kill it. Comcast even dropped TechTV from their cable service causing a drop in "households" Techtv was available in. Which forced the issue by killing the amount of advertising revenue TechTV could get

Comcast was only ever interested in using TechTV to prop up their audience numbers. Instead the real Tech fans bailed on the retarded G4 network in droves.
