I am a rider in a team and I do races in Europe at professional level. So, I can tell you that cycling is a real sport. You have to be courageous to do 200km everyday during one week or more, under the rain, the cold, the wind or the heat, and climbing several mountains. And to win a race, you have to go through the pain to beat the others. Also, you must have a perfect lifestyle and train 6-8 hours whatever the weather.

if i was the cyclist, i would immediately make sure the poor dog was ok, than i'd go after the dog's owner for damages. i don't blame the cyclist, the track should be safe in any event.
