Ebid, iOffer, Craigslist, OOdle are all better than Ebay. Moneybookers and Google Checkout are better than Paypal when comes to leveled playing field for both sellers and buyers. Avoid Paypal like a plague if you are a seller!!! Selling using Paypal, 50/50 you will loose everything!

I wanted to set up a website where you post items for free and i was the security bewtween the seller and buyer holding the money until buyer the got product and agreed it was what was described and was happy then realese the funds to the seller charging a 5% fee for the transaction ! if any one thinks this is a great idea contact me ! OF course both parties would have my ID and a signed contract guaranteeing funds secured ! ANd pay Pal would not be used western Union or cashiers checks !

Build your own site. Reduce what you put on ebay and take that money and advertise on Google, Yahoo, MSN. Diversify. The net has changed.

I contacted my favorite sellers and told them I loved their products but would NEVER purchase on ebay again and asked if they had alternate sites. I included my name and email address so they would know I was legitimate - everyone I wrote, sent me back alternate sites! Diversity seems to be the key - good point.
