When you say they only understand "one thing but not all the rest", then let them learn just this "one" thing, do not commit violent crimes. That is only one thing to remember. Do not be violent. That might keep them out of jail.
If they are released from prison and then "don't follow through" on their parole or instructions for after release, they do need to be brought back into the system. Society can not have inmates being released and then breaking parole or doing things that they are not supposed to do. It's great that you have this awareness video, however, parole is parole and the rules apply to all that are released. Getting them special training IN jail--that might change things.

The nature of the disorder contributes to their legal problems. The intent and reasoning behind the crimes is often different from other offenders. "parole is parole" for sure...but if someone's disorder compromises their ability to adhere to probation orders they are only set up to fail and to get in further trouble.

I aM A 42 old person born with fasd-ill when given instructions ill understand a few of them but the rest didnt go into my brain-i hear good but the information often doesnt always go in...i miss what people say..
