Do not put neosporin on ur fish that's retarded seeing how ur not even supposed to get ur hands on or in the water. Feed them frozen pees uve thawed in water,Peel them, n cut em up or smush em. Also get a sample of ur water to a petshop. Mail me if u need more
i wish i put the peas yesterday when my other white goldfish was still alive and now my goldfish the boy is swimming sideways and trys to kill himself by jumping out of the water!?! i have 2 left now, so when its time to feed the fish do i seperate the white healthy fish and put her in another bowl then feed my goldfish with the diease in the same bowl so my helathy one wont get the diseas
Feed him frozen peas. It is swim bladder disease. This can be caused by many things. Ornamental goldfish get this the most. When breed to have long fins or a certain color, the swim bladder may be damaged. What's happening is that his swim bladder is damaged and he can't balance himself. Make sure he's treated because this disease can turn deadly. Could be TB or a parasitic infection. If a parasitic or microbial infection infects near the swim bladder it can be serious. I hope he gets well!
I don't know what your fish has, but not swim bladder disease, My Calico Fantail, Pizza has it, and amazingly 7 months later he's STILL alive! He's TRULY a Miracle (and quite frankly a Mystery) Fish!
the main reason for this is not having enough fiber in their diet, feed them green peas which is very high in fiber, a vet has recomended that, im not sure abt the other high fiber stuf but green peas will help to cure them
If it has swim bladder disease, it should be swimming weirdly like upside down or side ways and floating, unable to go down with sometimes one side of belly swelled up. In my opinion, it looks like something else perhaps?
found these on iternet Feed your fish a couple of peas. That's right, peas. Just get some frozen peas, thaw them, and feed them to your fish. A professor of fish medicine at N.C. State College of Veterinary Medicine has done this in several cases with very good resultst cure gold fish
Ditto on the peas be sure to take the skin off I looked up this remedy about 2 hours ago and tried it for my very large fancy goldfish and he is doing much much better almost back to 100% :)
my new lionhead had a hard day yesterday,m first he was scared of the bigger ranchu, ( these are all new fish of mine,) then the danios bullyed him so we moved them to another tank, and he looked a bit sick, and today when i woke up, he was bout to die of swim bladder. but today theyre putting in a new stock of lionheads.
In my experience boiled peas just cloud the water and clog the filters. 98% of the time, these fishes have more serious ailments. My expensive Blue Butterfly from a reputable seller just died from a big ulcer because his immune system was probably too damaged to begin with. I spent 50 bucks on meds alone. Friends told me that I did my best. I've been at this aquarium thing for 30 years. It's still sad and draining when a fish dies on you when you spent all those times trying to help it.
It looks more like a wasting disease. Perhaps tuberculosis? Fluke is also another cause for that deathly look. It's only a matter of time for all of them to get sick and die. Lucky for you that Prazi-Q, Coppersafe and Maracyn-two are available. All stores nowadays should medicate their tanks before selling these sickly fishes because no doubt, all of them are already sick or carrying some kind of diseases, bacteria, parasites. BTW, you tank also looks over crowded.
ya all died but two. i think it also had something to do with the filter it wasn't working right but i put a new one in a cleaned the fish tank real well and the remaining two and new moor are doing very well. your right it was overcrowded so i'm only sticking with the tree
Sorry about your fishes. Thing is, whenever I buy, I already assume infection and flukes. Think about it, these fishes come from big Asian ponds. It only takes one fish to bring death to the rest. It's usually just a matter of short time. Sad to say. Anyhow, I find that Prazi Q to be very gentle. I also feed the new ones with Medi-Gold. Quarantine is a must.
i no whats wrong with your thing no oxygen on the top of the water theres litle room water full to top some fish breath in water some like shmbukins breat from the top of the tank maybe thats what wrong? and filther suplies water to the tank also may of killed them all
hey, nice tank, erm he does look a lil off colour, i would issolate him in a tank, with a filter if ya can, and make sure its in quiet atmosphere, monitor him, and mayb get some sort of medicine :)
thats definitely too much airflow, one of the causes of swimbladder is air gulping cut down on the oxygen and feed vegies, boiled brocoli they love,

Man, he looks almost emaciated compared to the others (the red and white ones.) Their tummies should be plump and rounded, not flat

Swim Bladder Disease
BigEvilLadia23 2 years ago
No, that might be a water quality problem that's causing him to swim like that. If he had swim bladder infection, he would be super fat.
