@birdman3120. I am not an idiot, if a car is pressed against an immovable object say a concrete divider the police can obviously reign a car in. As for my faith in volvo's being police worthy? I have none even a volvo can get swatted away when you have a very mobile force hit a mass at it's center. Just using simple physics you could get a lightweight coupe to flip it over. I got to say any desperate criminal escaping from the police would either A. ram the police car, or B. drive onto the dirt for 2 seconds and get out of their box manuver. The simple plans work best, for example Americas wildest police videos. I think those officers get the job done nicely XD.

@sirniko126 You obviously know nothing about the "box and stop" maneuver. It is performed on motorways and dual carriageways. They box the car against the central reservation, so the car can't just drive past on the dirt. Secondly, the cars used to do the "box and stop" maneuver are the sturdy and solid Volvo estates, so I would like to see most cars try and ram those out of the way.
