There may be a reason Glee Gum is the only manufacturer using the natural stuff. I have bought that stuff a couple times from TJ's and it does not last very long, meaning it disintegrates in about 1 hour of chewing. If I spend $ on gum, I would expect it to last a longer. FYI, General Santa Ana (yes, from the Alamo) was responsible for Chiclet gum. He lived for a time in the US and worked with Thomas Adams, of Adams Chiclet Chewing Gum, Santa Ana helped him acquire the Chicle, used in the gum.

My fiance and I went to visit his family in Mexico last summer. His uncle took us to a jungle that was once a harvesting ground for chicle (in the 1800s Im guessing. Very old). It was AWESOME! Also, the sapodilla fruit from the chicle tree is edible. Even more cool ;)

im a gum freak, I carry 2 or 3 flavors in my purse at all times even though I dont chew it every day. I like the variety because sometimes you dont want mint cause it ruins the taste of I will eat or drink in the following hours but if I had a strong coffee, mint it is!
