I just asked over at the Innesboard if there was a redording of this with the alternate verse... and I stumble across this by sheer accident less than 2 hours later! Talk about a knock-kneed frog! Yeesh! - 1b2s
It has occurred to me that many people have not seen the Rutles movie "All you need is Cash". My suggestion is that you see this as soon as possible if you're a Beatles fan. It's a work of art and genius (both musical and comedic genius.)
@SgtRuttersClubBand You don't appreciate irony do you? The Rutles are a deliberate parody of the Beatles. Oasis sounds closer to the Rutles than the Beatles
Who can forget 'W.C. Fields Forever'? God, the Tragical History Tour was mostly a trainwreck, but the songs...anyway, it gave them the experience to be able to make some of their masterpieces, like 'A Hard Day's Rut', and 'Yellow Submarine Sandwich', so I suppose I shouldn't moan. Shame Ron met Chastity, though.
@EvelKinevelable No YOU look. Do a simple google search for The rutles piggy in the middle. Click the second link! You will see no song by the rutles called I am the waitress. You will see one called Piggy in the middle though. I don't think it is a coincidence that there is NO song by the rutles called I am the waitress.....

I don't think we will ever get a band as great as The Rutles ever again.

@Dunner1994
Dunner 1994 You're mistaken
The Beatles copied The Bonzos
(The Bonzos gave birth to The Rutles)

Is this Really A RUTLES studio outtake?

It's funny, the intro to 'Too Many People' sounds alot like this songs intro (aside from the obvious 'I am the Walrus' similarities).

Ron Nasty was a visionary. I hope he finally got that "squandron of tanks" he always wanted. God Save the Rutles!
