If you had put wood pellets in the kettle instead of water, would wood gas have come out the pour spout? Or, could you put a gasification chamber in the flue & get wood gas?

Can a rocket stove make usable amounts of wood gas, if it's big enough?

Make a rocket stove that does that, if you can.

@mangyscavenger YES..if you put wood pellets / straw / saw dust / wood chips into the 'boiler' it WOULD of made a flammable gas and that gas can run a generator. This was made popular and shown in the 1st season of the TV Reality Survival Show called, "The Colony". Use lard or crisco, not vegi oil.

@evifj This is about making bread in an EMERGENCY, in a disaster. Its about how you can be fed and comfortable when everyone else is miserable. YOU USE WHAT YOU GOT. Lard, crisco, corn oil, veg oil it does not matter, it will all work.
