@rinkavideos64
nope, far from it. It is Linux with KDE SC. See kde.org

@dawndaemon I know, I just asked because it reflects the W7 principle.
rinkavideos64 10 months ago
@rinkavideos64 In what sense? (p.s. since KDE4 is a year and a half older than W7, you can say that W7 reflects something here :) )

@dawndaemon Lancelot, not KDE4 (you demoed Lancelot here!)
@rinkavideos64 well, 80% of lancelot in KDE 4.o era is the same as today (no need for exclamation marks)
btw, I was always curious which 'similarities' people see between L and Windows menu which don't exist in other Linux menus...
@rinkavideos64 p.s. I can only speak of Win menus from screenshots i saw, so I might be missing something...
How can I install lancelot in kde???
mateustbx 1 year ago
@mateustbx It should be available via your package manager. Either as a separate package (plasma-widget-lancelot on Debian) or as a part of the kdeplasma-addons package (or similar).

@dawndaemon Thanks man! I managed to install lancelot here now!
Sorry for my bad english. :D
@mateustbx no problem dude! :)
@dawndaemon :D
Thanks for the screen cast. I'm still not sure what the difference is between Lancelot and the KDE menu system?
Can you do a screencast that outlines why use Lancelot?

The only complain I have about Lancelot is that it's transparency should be no less than 95%. Current transparency makes it a bit messy.
Reloaded211 2 years ago
As I've already mentioned, the transparency is due to the plasma theme used.
In the latest version of KDE (4.3), Lancelot uses the same background as other Plasma dialogues.

@Lazaryn
To be honest, although usually I disable them, sometimes they contain very cool info.
Awesome! Best launcher for KDE4.

Does anyone ever actually read those "tip of the day" things? I skip them about as fast as I skip Windows installer wizards. ^_^;
