also, kids, if you are using a controller you can assign the rates and speeds to knobs/slides and it makes editing all these wobbles a little bit easier and faster. right click the amount/rate in question, and click assign to controller, turn the knob or move the slide and it should automatically pick it up!

You can also use "Edit Events" and control the knobs' values directly with an LFO (Alt+O).

For a wobble bass, you're usually best with OSC one at a square and OSC two at a square or a saw. You then can then get rid of some of that 'hissing' by lowering the cutoff in the filter.

To get it to wobble, you can set LFO 1's type to 'filter', enable 'sync', turn up the amount and play around with the rate.

Also make sure to play with the 'reso' in the filter.

Also, what I should have mentioned is that one of the OSCs is often at a pitch one octave lower than the other OSC, and that the amount of OSC 3 I usually turn up very high to get a deeper sound. Also, make sure to play with the filter env if you are looking for a 'driving' kind of bass instead of a wobbling one. I would recommend against using 'drive' in the output, as it tends to blur your sound. Make sure to experiment with using 'ringmod'; I've gotten some good results with it.

dudes 'dubstep basses' are all about downpitching the bass. start with a sine wave and pitch -24. send to filter 1 with lfo on. play a bit with the cutoff, rate,.. . Then you proceed with other oscillators do same put keep in harmony (maybe -12 pitch, etc). Make sure too add reverb, whether onboard of the synth or external... EQ also
