the plain truth is that itachi as of now is the strongest.

he had ameratsu which would solve any problem.

Sasuke: has ameratsu but his real mangekyo is yet to be anounced.

Naruto: Sage mode is awsome and so are clones but one blow from ameratsu would be fatal.

Genjutsu works on anything that can feel emotion. So it wouldn't work on regular puppets, but would work on Sasori.

Every time he uses the Mangekyo sharingan he loses some of his vision. A side effect of extensive use of the sharingan is total blindness. That doesn't sound worth it to me.

Yeah I know but he lost his vison permantely. BUT Itachi has good chakra control so that allows him to stay in his sharingan mode without showing any sign of exaustion. its like his eyes are like nothing but his hair. Because sasuke could just walk around with his sharingan on like that...

Well Actually Hidan maybe immortal but if itachi uses Ameratsu on him where does that leave hidan. No where. Ameratsu will just turn Hidan into dust until he flies into the wind. Or itachi could use Tsukuyomi on him and mess his head up. plus itachi is much faster than Hidan and better at taijutsu than hidan.

itachi isnt a taijutsu fighter -_-' he can just punch at kick but hes not really a hand to hand char. and if hidan gets itachi's blood and he may find a way to do that itachí is no where.

Itachi is a good taijutsu fighter. if you read about him it says he good in taijutsu, ninjutsu, genjutsu. How do you think he killed the uchiha clan? not just byusing alot of genjutsu I'm sure he was kicking and punching. right now itachi uses alot of genjutsu because its at such a level where he' does'nt really need to do hand to hand combat.. when he fought sasuke in shippuden he uses a lot of genjutsu but he also used taijutsu a little. plus their uchihas they have good fiighting skills

itachi only prefers using genjutsu because he's a pacifist and his genjutsu has proved to be good enough to defeat the likes of kakashi,deidara, and hold off naruto&kakashi while they were fighting the fake clone. So itachi never really had much reason to rely on his taijutsu.

I don't know if Itachi could win this one. Itachi's specialty is illusion correct? If Sasori's eyes are that of a puppets (his only real body part being his heart) I believe he would actually be immune to anything Itachi could throw at him. In my opinion Sasori is one of the strongest akatsuki members. The only reason he didn't make Sakura and Chiyo his bitches is because the plot wouldn't allow them to die. Just like Zabuza and Haku.

Sasori has a bunch of pretty strong puppets.

Itachi has Amaterasu, which can burn EVERYTHING, and Susanoo, a summoning capable of sealing away EVERY enemy and deflect ANYTHING with its shield.
