I remember Quark, Richard Benjamin and those 2 hot twins(one of which was a clone, they never established which one was) flying a garbage scow through space
Oh BTW, I love your "wipes". Especially that exploding bits one (whatever it's called). Got to be high end commecial editing software. Right? At least it was super sharp detail, for a YouTube vid.
The post-Skylab, pre-Space-Shuttle comedy series. So I quess NASA was Ok with it back then. But not so much now, or we'd be seeing it on DVDs!! What's the holdup? I'll be long dead before they bring out all those old Tv shows from the late 1970s that dared to mock space travel (remember "Quark"?). But boring old Andy Griffith Show and Matlock, that's out there!
Had a MAJOR crush on Richard Jaeckel growing up. Also had that Starlog magazine! Nice to see again. I liked this show.

I loved watching the tv movie as a teen. There was nowhere for the series to go unless they kept going into space.
For me, this expressed the idea of "Americanism"; anybody can do anything if they're smart and determined.
I wonder if this was inspiration for "The Astronaut Farmer"?

Talk about going way back. One of Andy Griffith's nuttier roles.

I was about 11 years old when I first watched this and I remember falling head over heels in love with Trish Stewart.
