Well i'm 30 and i volunteer to teach English to poor muslim kids in Indonesia and i think the teleprompter "objection" is ridiculous.

sarah has made comments which i find very disheartening though. she mocked fruit fly research; one of most promising areas of research for improving the lives of people with autism (which her kid has).

it is one of the areas of research i want to get into so i took it personally. i have volunteered with the special olympics for a while (i was pissed at obama's tasteless comments about them), and finding something that would help those wonderful people function better is my goal.

I didn't enjoy Obama's Special Olympics gaffe at all. I chuckled over the problem he himself stepped--he is from the politically correct party, after all. But I was of the "let it go" school. I know he didn't mean anything by it, but I questioned why he would put himself in a position to make the gaffe when he could've avoided and avoided cheapening his office by going on the Tonight Show in the first place.

I still hold the Office of the POTUS in the highest regard, no matter who fills it.
