  • The final end....NOT!

  • the end of the Daleks? bahaa who are you kidding :P

  • fantastic work - really impressed. shame you cannot do a full version of the story.

  • I like the bit where Maxtible is attacking Kemmel and you can hear a Dalek in the background full of rage screeching "KILL! KILL! KILL!", it makes it seem a bit more gritty and real, rather than them shouting "exterminate!" all the time.. not that it's not cool when they do that!

  • Wow brilliant recreation, interesting blend of 2d and 3d, by watching the end you can really tell how people at the time would react to it since the daleks didn't appear until the next doctor to be cast due to popularity.

    Brilliant.

  • did you know inside the emporor dalek there is davros

  • @shortmotions Different emperor.

  • brilliant work

  • we need more of these

  • Great video, I am endeavouring to create a stills gallery for the lost episodes, I can't animate to save my life :p keep up the good work!

  • When I saw this was to be animated I thought "Oh No!". But I REALLY enjoyed it and got to say a BIG thumbs up to you who created it!! Such a shame the original is lost forever.

  • *Thumbs up* Great job.

  • hey in the actual doctor who wasnt there a dalek civil war

  • Great work. I hope you get around to doing the rest. Would love to see the finished product one day.

  • haha im 13 years old and have seen loads of old classic dalek episodes..u would be expecting me to be searching footballlplayers...? not likely, more watching the daleks XD

  • Great! I'm an american Doctor Who Fan to!

  • @theLegendofZelda2009 and why does that matter?

  • HileTroy - too true!

    EmperoroftheDaleks - too true too!

  • When I grow up I want to be a Dalek

  • @slig665 I want to be a Dalek Hunter... heh heh heh!

  • veiws people please but do you think it would look good in claymattion nice work mate love it but i thought maxtible fell to his death too or is the databanks wrong abotut that as i said love the vid

  • This is stunning.

If this hasn't been found yet, at least we can see it in some form.

    Well done.

  • Bravo!

  • Classic series and it's fans are geeky, and usually proud of it.

Nu-who fans are usually little kids who think explosions and "effects" are "well cool".

  • Sci-fi is usually about special effects now, I wish more time would be spent on plots.

  • @Emperorofthedaleks I know what you mean, I was so excited when I heard they were bringing Dr Who back in 2005 or whenever, I had wanted it for a long time but after seeing how they just jumped from story to story, hardly ever having more than 40 mins to a plot and no aspect of anything was scary (like in the 70s they got complaints for the Autons as shop dummies) which is what I always considered the show to be about. They've made a legend and an icon into a farce. I want it to change or stop.

  • I really enjoyed watching this excellent video.I have the original ending of this story on a Special Feature on the Tomb of the Cybermen dvd.

The Dalek animation is superbly done.

I have even added it to my Dr Who playlists.

Thanks for the posting of it.

  • Wow! You put the title in colour. Nice change!

  • To be honest I expected this to be crap, but it's far from it. The facial animation is particularly good, equal to if not better than the 'Invasion' animation, (and in colour too). The CGI movement could be better but this is the best classic Who animation I've seen and I really hope you do a LOT more of this. Along with the colourisation of existing episodes, this brings the long-dead stories wonderfully alive.

  • This wouldn't be a dumb move for the BBC to make. With the new popularity of Doctor Who, I'm sure there'd be massive support for the animated regeneration of some of the lost episodes.

  • You would need some old Dr. Who fans from the public, to write down what they remembered from the lost episodes.

This way, they could piece them all together! Cannot trust anyone at the STUPID BBC to do the job, or even think of it.

After all; they were the ones who through these classic episodes in the bin, in the first place.

  • well, geeky is the only way to recreate lost episodes!

    besides,it's not geeky

  • superb. much luck on your effort. you have my eager support.

  • Wow the voices in this episode were awesome. So loud, and screaming, actually scary like the Daleks should be

  • this is great but the only thing i noticed is that the tardis door sign is on the wrong side

  • This is awesome. This episode looks great too (I've never watched any recreations of evil of the daleks)

  • only one problem, could it be in black and white plz?

  • Absolutely fantastic...number one who story ever. i have the recent recon

  • Ocpmovie-It's great that you'd put so much time and effort into recreating this story. My personal all time favourite, which I'm old and decrepit enough to have seen when it was first shown in 1967! I really appreciate finding recons like this on the net, although I'm sure you would probably wish that you wouldn't have to go to all of the trouble of putting these animations together, had the BBC the foresight not to junk all of these stories in the first place!

  • Awsome!

  • Thanks for replying. I can't believe 2/e isn't looking at this stuff its excellent!

  • This was brilliant. Can I ask,

    1. How long did the animation take to make?

    2. Can I help in any way?

    3. Will this be passed on to anyone at the BBC for possible DVD release?

  • wow superb. love the mix of cgi and animation of the doctor and jamie etc.

    simply amazing

  • WELL DONE!!!

A really excellent effort! I was a small toddler when this was first aired in the UK so only remember certain scenes. PLease tell us when you finish the whole story.

    Nick aka tripmonk0

  • Great stuff!! I want the DVD when you're done!!! Two comments though:

    1. Could you make a black and white version? (I'm a traditionalist :-)

    2. Could you stop the people from swaying?

All the best, and keep up the good work :-)

  • looks really good cant wait to see the finshed programme

  • Excellent work to all involved! Thanks for showing us this little bit from the past!

  • Really coming together. My bits of animation stick out quite badly, one day I will redo them and light them properly.

Looking good, nice introduction. Lovely to see some enthusiasm!
