@Cinerary ok, maybe if you try to LIVE black metal you'll end up fucked up, but my MUSICAL taste says it should at least be played and composed seriously and carpathian forest sounds more like a parody band so i just dont like them... it's a great way to express your darker thoughts or whatever you please and fits the lyrics. I take music seriously, and if you thinks it's gay, fine by me.

This is actually quite good, to those that don't like the comparison with punk, stop being so snobby, nothing is orginial nowadays, and if you listen to some punk you will see the similarities

At times they sound like crust.

Well, by proxy, they are, seing that all norwegian black metal is indebted in some way to Venom, Bathory and Celtic Frost (despite the fact that they evolved from it), and all those have a lot of Punk influence. It's just more diluted in some bands, like Satyricon or Emperor, who built on the framework of those three bands. But Punk is there whenever a band does D-beat.

That's surprising... You all don't think they take themselves seriously, do you? One glance at Nattefrost's solo stuff will get rid of any notion that they think they're serious about anything. I know Vrangsinn, and trust me, they mean it to be funny.

They kick ass more than any other BM there is, but really, take it with a grain of salt.
