Hey, at the hop, you never know what the DJ will play! Good Lindy and good jitterbug has a lot of foot and upper thigh movement in tune with beat. Of course throw in some creative jaybird and spin ins (with twist outs, if you dare!) and you're doin' the do daddio!

They did more flips off the back and a few other moves they dont do today. My parents did it better.

@thears2u There are rules in competitive boogie woogie that don't allow certain lifts and flips. I agree that it is sad that they can't perform certain cool moves but these rules are necessary because otherwise there is almost no difference between boogie-woogie and (acrobatic)RocknRoll dancing.

@thears2u Although I do dance boogie-woogie myself I have never been to a competition before so I can only guess. I think the biggest emphasis is on creativity. The dancers don't know what song they get so they have to improvise on the spot. Truly great dancers can use the breaks in the music to there full potential to create an awesome show. Just like these top performers did.
