This can be easily judged by her behaviour in Cope Hagen: She is just trying to escape from its responsibilities by pushing them to the western coountries, and it rejects to be monitored for its progress in reduction of emission of pollutants which may get in the way of her economic development.

That's not really what they said. They're really implying that it's a good idea to keep your water clean and the rivers in stable condition. While much of the problem (less water) is not man made, regulating the pollutants dumped would be good for everyone.

Don't forget. The US has proven that you can put enough industrial waste into a river for it to catch fire. River fires plagued property along the cuyahoga river, until fairly recently. This could happen in your country too.

That's not really an excuse for China's pollution problems, but human development and maintaining environmental stability have always been contradicting each other, which one would you like - China stopped developing, or environment getting worse?
