@frizstyler yes, Since you have a pickup truck i recommend you installing a Safari Snorkel. With the Safari Snorkel You could go in deep water and have a better mpg according to some people.

Thats just more biased filler, Jeep and hummer were both originally made by amc, and jeeps are some of the longest running vehicles made (not so sure about the new ones w/o the inline 6). Hummer is also a great vehicle as long as you stick to the H1.

@dangleberry9628 With the glow plug ignition in diesels it's actually not that bad on the engine to submerge it, in fact, in most military-style vehicles are made for it (Tatra advertises their trucks by including the fording depth). As long as it is properly maintained submerging the diesel isn't a problem. Gasoline engines are a little more tricky with the plug wires, distributor etc. With the right intake and ignition modifications you can run a gas motor in the water too.

Umm, no. When you look at the transfer case it clearly says, from the top of the tree down, HL (high lock, which locks the Eaton E-lockers in the diffs), H (High), N (Neutral), and finally LL (Low Lock). The old press the brake to make shit work trick only works on brake systems that have an electronically controlled brake system which a military HMMWV (proper acronym for a High Mobility Multi-Purpose Wheeled Vehicle) does not have. Good Day!
