I'm so glad that this doesn't have as much views as the other TEDs. Sometimes I wonder what goes through people's minds when they go for mindless crap like this. Dude seems nice though
Well...it wasn`t what I expected but I`ve come to expect that from TED! I know a woman who thinks somewhat like this, dong as many things as possibel to avoid growing dull. She is living a diverse and inspired life and it`s infectious! People should have a person like this in their lives. They can be good for the soul!
Art Fashion and Interpretive Dance...two art forms I'll never understand.
What the talk should have been about is how fashion is undermining the ability of our young women to focus on anything of import. If your only charge is to look pretty you're not going to be an interesting person.
Anyway, activism aside, I didn't mind his rambling too much, but I did think it was a bit self-aggrandizing.
i found it hard to follow his train of thought sometimes. the talk had an erratic flow.
the topic of colors and "tricks of the mind" with regards to fashion and style. unfortunately it wasn't expounded enough on. just a lot of rambling on how much he likes colors or something.
yeah so what. be more tolerant and creative. creeAAtiivaaaaaannnndTOOOleeRAAAANT!!!!hehehehehe. seriously designing clothes is really important. it might be one of the most important things we design. think about how much we say with clothes. the world just couldn't carry on without clothe designers. seriously. clothes mean so much. we choose clothes :) and it's ok to be in your world and think about things ;) do you know that women wear longer dresses in recessions?
I'm not gay. I'm not fashionably savvy. I'm not a fashion designer.
But, for Isaac to share his thought on how he gets his idea for a fashion - his life, it is something that I sickeningly want to know. This video is best describe as Dead Cow. I like to eat beef, but the thought that the beef coming from a dead cow, is very sickening to know. :-)
Some funny lines, one or two somewhat interesting thoughts on life, but otherwise it's just what IslandHermit said...some guy talking about himself. More self indulgent than inspirational, this definitely doesn't fit into TED imo.
While this TED is different from what we're used to (or even what most of us like to watch) - I still think this particular talk is just fine! It provided a nice (albeit predictably boring) look into the mind of this fun designer. It's nice to have a confirmation of what these fashion guys are like on the inside; and we've got to admit they're well suited to their niche in life. If being slightly with everything is his mantra, we all are slightly bored with his talk, but in a good way :)
it does grate after a while. i've become adept at hitting the mute button and flicking to another tab for 15 seconds before coming back. gah, why can't one get scripted tivo/greasemonkey like actions applied with web video? :(

What do people have against this guy?
Are they uncomfortable by him being gay?
He's on TED because he understands the things that inspire people creatively.

Not the best presentation.. But it was ok I guess. The video clips he shows everyone just seem rather random and pointless.
