I am also using sketchup 8 but am finding that the paint bucket tools section is just the standard mac os x color picker, color selector... how to i get the materials/textures to add and sample?
@finnesselli The Sandbox toolbar is located under the View menu > Toolbars > Sandbox. If the Sandbox tools are not listed there, you should check to see whether the Sandbox extension been enabled. To do this on a PC, go to Window > Preferences > Extensions and check on the Sandbox tools. On a MAC, go to SketchUp > Preferences > Extensions and check on the Sandbox tools.
HI Guys, very nice tutorials, well done. But i have a conundrum which i have been unable to find an answer to. Once i make a terrain model, i would like to be able to bring it into 3 D app like Unity. But to generate terrain i need a greyscale heightmap raw image. So how to go from a terrain model here to a greyscale image. regards and avid viewer

@jecabrer definitely. your topo lines just need to be in DXF or DWG format.

take the Paint Bucket tool and press the Command Key (Mac) or ALT key (PC) to get the eye dropper.
