I am buying accessories for this weapon, next week I am getting the weapon. :) Could you please type the name of that red dot sight (would you recommend I get it?) Did you get the sling from Keltec (advertised with the plr16?) or is it a different one? I don't think the weapon comes wit that sling clip (that attaches the sling to the butt), if it doesn't what is that clip called? hehehe
Great video man. I am just beginning to learn about this gun and you helped out alot. I have a hard time believing that it is such a great gun at the price that it is set at. I am having trouble finding cons about it either. have you heard anything or seen some yourself?
@beefdazzle I am certain you will be very happy with it. The only complaint that I have which is no fault of the gun itself is that it is very LOUD. But that is expected from a rifle caliber pistol with a short barrel, although that's easily fixed by adding a suppressor
Since this is gas piston driven is it safe to use bulk steel ammo like wolf without it getting stuck? I tried to run steel ammo on my AR-15 and i got too many failure to extracts and had to switch back to brass ammo.
Just curious, did you install your levang compensator with a crush washer, and if so, did you have any issues with accuracy from carbon building up on the threads?
Piston systems have a buffer mr, piston guns are ok but as far as ar style piston guns the sr ruger is a heap of dung it good guys like u buy it your the type that has to flaunt and cant shoot lean how to talk
The name of the compensator is " levang linear compensator" I had a hard time finding it when I first was looking for it but backordwred it from midway USA
good vid. i just picked up one today and a 30rnd steel promag would not let the bolt cycle. is there any mod that needs to be done for the steel mags to work? or is it just the promag mags suck that bad?
Thanks, Yeah I would never recommend running promags in any firearm, they are terrible, I have tried them in several guns from rifle to handgun and none were reliable. pick up the new generation Pmags they work great or go with brownells with the magpul followers.
thanks for the quick response. got 2 new pmags and they work flawlessly. plr-16 has been the most relieable firearm ive ever used right out of the box(with the right mags) thanks again
cool vid just get more light there. cool gun, how easy is it to keep aligned with the view thru the sight you use right now on that gun in a close quarters scenario?
Cool it just seems easier to keep lined up witha red dot witha rifle setup like case your face is always in the same place in relation to the red dot. thats the only thing that i think might be harder with a pistol. does your red dot magnify or is it regular dot?
Thanks, I will have to do another one since I left out alot of info on the gun itself, I know I strayed off track a bit. I appreciate the feedback and will use more light on the next
Fantastic review and excellent technical info. Any suggestions on how to bump fire the PLR-16 would be great

Thanks, It's very easy, very fast target acquisition with it, I think every CQB weapon should have a red dot optic on it
