The only way you would ever get the complete Resident Evil story with every detail would be if they made it a TV series, and yes, all the fans would know everything that is going to happen and there would be little to no suprises. The movies are a separate universe from the games, end fact. I used to bitch about it more than anybody but in the end, it's pretty much high-budget fanfic. Reboots are sort of the trend now so maybe we'll see a closer telling of the game story at some point. Also remember that between Zero and RE5, you've got days and days worth of storytelling to be jampacked into two hours or less of film.

Basically with the movies, the directors try to go beyond the original story line, which in my opinion is creative because it shows you what could happen "Behind the scenes" kind of, and also the last 2 movies " Re 3 and 4" are showing you what COULD happen once youve beaten the game.I liked them i guess everyone has their own opinions =\
