My dog is a gaurd dog, but I don't whack him around with a stick! Rotties are natural gaurd dogs yes, but don't train them like this unless they are profisional handled. I don't introduce my dog to strangers, only faimly and friends. That is why he gaurds us from strangers. He's good with kids too! He lets my friend's two year old jump on him. If you turn your dogs like this, you shouldn't have a dog at all. It looks like you need to be on a leash and not the dog. Its just common sence.

Yeah, I've known people with nice rottweilers. I kinda think they're tempermental though. My friend has one and she's really nice, but if you annoy her enough she starts to get pissed off and it's kinda scary lol. My grandpa had a Rott and he was a really playful nice puppy named Teddy. He always made my parents nervous but he was always nice. My grandpa put him down because he "made him nervous" Fucked up.

When dogs are trained to attack, it needs to be in a calm environment so that they understand that they should only attack on command. This one doesn't look like he was trained that way.
I'm glad you at least learned your lesson about it. Like someone said earlier, dogs like rottweilers will instinctively protect you - treat them with love and loyalty and they will do the same for you.

My dog is a gaurd dog, but I don't whack him around with a stick! Rotties are natural gaurd dogs yes, but don't train them like this unless they are profisional handled. I don't introduce my dog to strangers, only faimly and friends. That is why he gaurds us from strangers. He's good with kids too! He lets my friend's two year old jump on him. If you turn your dogs like this, you shouldn't have a dog at all. It looks like you need to be on a leash and not the dog. Its just common sence.
