  • Took down the online version of this level. Was still pretty rough from being one of my first beta levels, and I feel I could make a better version of it, especially since its supposed to be the first stage in one of my LBP game series.

And of course, a little something from LBP2 when that hits.

  • hey you cheater you jumped you cant jump in bionic commando

  • Use directinal swiches or buttons more! lol

  • Comment removed

  • you should get the paintainatior and put it in. Would be cool.

  • Yup did that and changed some stuff up. Its called Rag Tag Commandos ver.B now.

  • i love super smash bros!

  • Great level bro! i dont have beta all i have is the actuall purchassed copy, so i cant play it can I?

  • You can still play it. Most of the beta levels were copied over. As a matter of fact, I just published the second level for that series (its called Aerial Armory) but you need a key from Rag Tag Commandos to access it (trying to make it have levels in order like the story mode or any other game).

  • Almost done with the second stage in the Black Star Army saga, Aerial Armory. Added some extra stuff and made some adjustments to Rag Tag commandos as well. Nothing visually since I wanted to make it evident that it was a mostly beta version stage, but its abit better than before.

  • sorry to be a noob but how to u make the brain unprotected do i have to unlock it or do i tweak the protected brain?

  • looks brilliant mate ;) i cant wait to try it on christmas. 5 star

  • Hopefully i'll be able to tweak it a little more, once the Metal Gear Solid LBP expansion pack releases. With the addition of an actual gun power up and new plasma danger object, I can REALLY make my stages like an action shooter.

  • i didnt know about expansion now im more excited ^^

  • Yup added a few improvements to the stage. Made some adjustments to some switches, added guns at certain spots, etc.

  • 2 things i would change is a fastline off the the hellicopter with a whinch and a grab switch and some the rocket proprel bullets emieted from the gun

  • Tried to make a good fastline, but couldnt. If I figure out an efficient way to make one, i'll add it. As for the bullets, rocket propelled ones might be good, but i'll use that for another enemy type. Making the second stage in the Black Star Army saga now.

  • how do you make those big bosses that fall from the sky, i need one for my kinder garten level

  • It was kind of a crude solution. I just placed some the enemy on top of some dissolve material, attached a proximity switch to the material, and that made it so when anyone crosses a certain point, the material dissolves and the enemy falls to attack.

  • thanks!

  • Dude i love your level.

Your probly the only other person I've heard with the Bionic Commando:ReArmed soundtrack besides me.

I am deffinately gonna play your level when I get LBP.

  • damn, this level is the SHIT!

  • Very cool...but at the end the little ledge is blocking the scoreboard :(

  • Yo, that's the Bionic Commando track! Wicked!

  • as soon as i heard it i said "BRAWL!" how did you get that in the game, i know you can have sound objects but did they make it so you can import files too? or did you just put music over the video?

  • Over the video. Cant import music yet.

  • oh cool thanks for repling

  • the best part was the enemies

  • So I assume you can import textures and such using the in-game texture creator and/or your pictures? That's it. I have to get a PS3. This is the sole reason. Noting more.

  • i think you can inport music to.

  • OMFG I'm getting this, before I die, I'm getting this.

  • lol im going to preorder it friday then try to pick it up tues or wens

  • You cant, only use the tracks they give you to use (or make your own via placed speakers). Certain in game tracks can be customized though to make them sound like something totally different.

  • 2 more days for it to come out, i preorderd. i picking it up after military school

  • That was some awesome pokemon music my friend.

  • im sad it got delayed. :(

  • add me Ps3 Zilla_Face

  • thats a piece of shit level

  • Being a first time beta material level, I thought it was decent. What was wrong with it?

  • its just every thing is all big and boxy with very little detail work. its really plain looking and it doesnt play the way i like.

  • Well its a homage to Bionic Commando/Bionic Commando Rearmed. In the actual game itself, the structures arent very detailed, just really bright colors. What do you mean by doesnt play the way you like though?

  • Can you please put the name of the songs that you used in da video on your video description? It will stop alot of ppl from asking over nd over again.

  • Yeah sure.

  • MAN I LOVED... i want a PS3 just to have this game and MGS4... too expensive so have something more xP

  • That was absolutely awesome. I love the retro style and your choice of music. I guess you added the music to this video rather than the stage. Can you add music to stages? Probably not.

Because I own a PS3, Wii, 360 and a decent PC this was not on my list of games to get, I was going for Fable2, GoW2, CoD5, Fallout3, Ra3, etc, etc. But thanks to this video I think you might have changed my mind. I want this game now, I don't care if it's childish and I'm 22, I need to play it NOW!

  • Well you place and customize music in the retail version, just only whats available in game (which apparently is alot). Wouldnt worry about it being childish though. Theres still (and always will be) tons of great games that are cartoonish in look but great in gameplay.

  • Aye true, as long as the available music choice consists of a lot of classical, retro and castlevania-esque soundtracks I'll be entertained for hours. If not I'll just mute the game and listen to metal :D Cheers for the quick reply anyway, I look forward to playing this game.

  • add me t2b-stryker

  • very good! Keep it up

  • SNAKEMAN!!!

  • Last part yeah.

  • Very impressive, the music was the key factor.

  • That's impressive. I can't wait to have a crack at making a level myself.

Question though: I've been hearing rumours that it wasn't actually possible to add pictures from the hard drive, but only from the Playstation Eye. Was this just a dud rumour?

Also, were those music tracks actually in the level, or did you add them in the video?

  • wow great job, can you add the music to littlebigplanet levels that you create?

  • Great level, why don't you try mine? it's called "The sky is the limit" I think it also has a very old retro feel, just like yours

  • Yeah, TeknomanEX.

  • yeah... i think soo

  • question is there a content filter in the game???for the adult only content??

  • Most likley

  • lol 2:00 poor robot

  • As others have said.. its VERY retro in style... you managed to get that 2D feel that other attempts have failed at so far (take the super mario level as an example which is badly done).

Keep it up mate; look forward to playing your retro based levels.

  • maaaan. this level was so great 4 the amount of time that u've had the beta that i actually got up wit my lazy self outta my bed from watchin this video on my ps3 web browser, came 2 my deskstop jus to tell u how great it was and 2 ask u 2 add me 2 ur friends list lol. cuz i want 2 have somebody like u 2 create levels wit when the game comes out. congrats and good job. psn id -

    hotshot127

  • Reminds me of Bionic Commando Rearmed a bit (the pilot looking back with hand on the control stick, the boss, the name of the army sound like something bionic would have, and obviously the logo).

  • sweet! can you put any music it in?

  • Unfortunatly no, at least not at this point. I just put that music over the video in Windows movie maker.

  • oh rite it wud be sweet to add music

  • nice level you made it yourself????

  • Yeah, took awhile too. Especially since I was just getting used to the mechanics of the builder.

  • great looking level

  • Thanks.

  • Great level! Only thing Ididn't get is how you were killing the enemies -were you just walking past them? The platforming is well done though.

And what's the last part about?

  • The enemies have a "brain" that you can either set to protected or unprotected. After that, its just classic hop and bop (jump into or onto wherever the red blinking light is). You can also use environmental hazards to hurt them. The last part of the video is just showing my next work in progress.
