I only came across this video because I am currently writing a thesis on testing active suspension controls... Anyway I just wanted to tell you that you clearly know nothing.

To clarify, there is very little research in fully active electromagnetic recuperative suspension systems - Bose and UT-CEM are the only two developers of this technology, other active suspension is hydraulic, and other electric suspenion controls only vary damping factors.

Just wait. It's been in R&D for over 7 years. Instead of using standard "tunable" shocks and dampers with fluid and valve technology, this system uses 4 linear electric motors (1 per wheel) and ground sensors that "read" the road ahead. The motors have something like a 2 mill.sec. response time. It's getting polished up and now looking for potential buyers (i.e. Nissan, Toyota, Lotus...) We'll probably see it as an option choice on cars in a decade or less. Read the Car and Driver article.

That suspension is very real. It use only electromagnetic technology instead of hydraulic. Some high end car use both, those car where you can choose between a "racing" and "touring" suspension. Basically hydraulic suspension with iron particles in it, get some volt running and u get a stiffer suspension. Bose just went a step further.
