Religion can be and often is a crutch that insecure people lean on in order to feel good about themselves. Yep that's the NIV but it's not the ANCIENT Greek. There are thousands of N.T. manuscripts and no two are exactly a like. There are NO original manuscripts dating back to the time of Jesus to be found. Also the ancient world of Paul had no word like "homosexuality". It just wasn't in Paul's vocabulary.

This Leviticus 20:13 passage has been used and abused for many years to hit & bludgeon gay people over the head. It rarely gets taken in context by homophobic churches & their high paid leaders. They conveniently ignore the other passages around it regarding not eating shell fish ("an abomination") & the Deuteronomy passage about stoning your wayward children to death. The Old Testament was a violent and crazy world. The Jewish leaders understand these passages far better than your pastors.

@chawlatthai I think you need to read and learn the truth about McClurkin and his ex-gay roadshow. He's a closeted homosexual who claims he has prayed away the gay and that Jesus has "delivered" him from his homosexuality. We'll see how things go in a few years and he gets caught in a bathroom or park having sex with another man. Then you'll wonder how in the world he could have fallen from grace and then you'll go looking for another charismatic cult leader to fill the emptiness.

@Rockymtntruth- If he turns out to be a fraud then thats his problem and he will have to answer to God for that. I don't look to man as my God cause I have a highter God that I love and serve. Even the most sincere man can fall short, but only God is the all-seeing, all-knowing omni present one. Thats why all this crap that you're saying on here, is nothing but a bunch of stupidity as far as I'm concerned. Homosexuality is a SIN! People, Pastor Donnie McClurkin isn't doing this to be "hateful" per se towards homosexuals, he's trying to deliver those in the church from a demon he once struggled with for years — the demon of homosexuality. The Bible clearly condemns homosexual relations among any gender, and he's trying to ensure that those within his denomination don't succumb to the evils of this repugnant lifestyle.

This is powerful for me as well sweetlycre8d because of the unhealthy relationships with men that I have allowed myself to be apart of...2 years of making a man wait and when I decide to go forth he tells me he has a baby on the way with a girl in virginia...very upsetting but, when you recognize the devils complex process in order to get souls you can laugh at that demonic spirit and say how pitiful! that this man would allow satan to use him and such way! fool! repent and get free!

It's good to recognize that devil, that deciever that evil one...who comes in all forms and ways but, when you recognize that evil spirit you can rebuke it. you can contain it and break it down to what it is a lie and say it with confident while walking in confidence and know in your heart without one doubt that you are saved and covered in the anointing walking in the spirit of the most high god!

Pastor Donnie is telling the truth. This video is a not a hate message but a message of deliverance from sin period. Parents need to be aware of what is going on in their childs lives and them teach them right from wrong. There is nothing hateful about it. The church needs to embrace those that are having problems such as homosexuality as well as all other sin.

Religion can be and often is a crutch that insecure people lean on in order to feel good about themselves. It has been used for good (i.e. the Civil Rights Movement, etc.) but it has also been used for evil (i.e. The Crusades, The Inquisition, burning gay people at the stake, etc., countless wars) and the evil is rampant in many Christian sects' history because of extreme ego's and self-righteous arrogance.

Yep that's the NIV but it's not the ANCIENT Greek. There are thousands of N.T. manuscripts and no two are exactly a like. There are NO original manuscripts dating back to the time of Jesus to be found. If you study the Bible in its historical context (not in the context of over-zealous emotion based pastors, etc.) you will begin to know what I'm talking about. Also the ancient world of Paul had no word like "homosexuality". It just wasn't in Paul's vocabulary.

This Leviticus 20:13 passage has been used and abused for many years to hit & bludgeon gay people over the head. It rarely gets taken in context by homophobic churches & their high paid leaders. They conveniently ignore the other passages around it regarding not eating shell fish ("an abomination") & the Deuteronomy passage about stoning your wayward children to death. The Old Testament was a violent and crazy world. The Jewish leaders understand these passages far better than your pastors.

The NIV "nor homosexual offenders" is a terribly incorrect translation & that translation (based on homophobic ignorance) has deceived millions of people. It's sad that you & many others (not all thank God) really take these words that more recent religious leaders (the past century) have anachronistically placed into the canon. BTW, Who put the original Bible canon together? Who approved of what went into it & what did not? When did those events happen? There is a lot you don't understand.

Christians, I beseech you please stop all arguing and debating trying to convince people of their sin. If they dont want to be delivered your efforts are in vain. Instead pray fervently. Godly sorrow worketh repentance. The only thing these discussions are doing is allowing demonic voices to provide twisted justification of sins to distract from the minister being used to speak the truth. It is causing those who are struggling with sin to instead read a lie that further enslaves them.

@dmandmusic one of the greatest things you could do would be to go to divinity school (Harvard, etc.) seminary and have an eye opening experience learning how to think in a logical way that forces you to take responsibility for your own conclusions. You learn to think in a logical way and you are given an opportunity and ability to step out of your old ways of thinking and step outside of your box and seriously look at the Bible in a much more historical, archeological & far more in depth way.
