Steph actually played a great game this season whereas in Palau she didn't play at all. She pretty much had immunity all the way to the FTC anyway because everyone would have been smart and taken her since she would not have won the game over anyone other than Jamie or Lydia, or possibly Judd.

A pattern in survivor iat teh start, the women are voted out because they are weaker and don't contribute in challenges. After the merge, the men are voted out as they are threats. Who is left are the weaker ones that rode on the coattails of the stronger members in their tribe to get them this far, then turning on them when strength is considered a threat.
