ok I know I am late but Thank You so much for your tutorials! You made my day when you said you go months without twisting your locs. And it is so good to see a clip where I dont have to actually twist my hair b4 I start. You are a life saver because I have an event tonight and had no clue what I was goin to do with my hair! Thanks again!

Girl so glad I found you I too was thinking about cutting them but everyone including me love my locs. However, now that I am hooked on your videos I will definitely keep rocking them. Keep up the good work you are an inspiration.
i want to apologize for calling them dreads. after watchin this vid i went to you 10 loc commandment video and saw why you never call your locs, dreads, they are dreadful they look very delightful actually lol, as you can tell its something new to me, and i still have a lot of research to do before i go forth with loc-ing. just wanted to come back as i meant no disrespect in my previous comment
OMG every 3 months!!!! Your dreads always looked SOOOOOOOOOO on point, i really thought you retwisted like every two weeks!!!!! I am a loose natural, and u have always made me want to loc it up, and now after seeing this tutorial it makes it even harder to resist lol. I ALWAYS wondered for the months i have subbed to you how you achieved this
Hey! Thanks so much for your tutorials. You have renewed my committment to keeping my locs! One question: how do you keep the flattwist tight after you pin it? I can't seem to secure the twist tight enough to stay neat like yours. Any suggestions?
So when you do retwist, do you part or just free hand? (I am sort of taking a poll on this). Right now I go to my loctician every other month, because I am scared of what I would look like without the manicure parted rows. However, I am doing a good job with styling thanks to you and koko femme. What do you think??? Try to part my locs or just grab and twist? Or is there a loc tut for that?
heyy!! :) lol i just wanted to say THANK YOU for putting up all your amazing styles i recently just start styling my hair and you have so many cute styles that i use. I had locks since i was 8 years old and now im 17 and im happy that i finally have some styles i can do!!.please keep the vids comingg! ---love and blessings ,mahnikhala
OMG I was just thinking of how I'm so tired of my dreads and I wanted to cut them off. I am so glad I found you, my husband loves your styles and wants me to try them all. I am so excited! Thank you so much!
can we get some videos for guys lol i kno ur not a guy but i think it would be cool to have some non homo cool looking hair styles!! by the way your beautiful
How often do you twist the sides of your head. I want to try but I'm concerned about weakening the locs on the side of my head. Do you twist the sides every week or so?
can you show how you secure the twists without pins? My locs are dyed bright red, so i rarely use any kind of pin cause nothing really blends in. THANKS!!!!
I don't have locs but love watching your tutorials. The styles are so cute and they make me wish I had locs. The eyes are always on point to me. I enjoy your videos.
After shampooing your locs, what next actions do you take with your hair when you don't retwist? How do you manage your roots and maintain a neat appearance without retwisting each month? Please let me know because after I shampoo, my roots are extremely puffy.
@Pintopam321 I have been locing for the past 3 years and I dont twist every time I wash. After washing grease my scalp with a shea butter mix(shea butter, almond, olive, avocado, tea tree oil) blow dry, if i wash in the morning I let it air dry. then I put in a bun - if am home during the day I wrap with a scarf so the from lays flat, going out I brush the roots gently so it lays down. But if the roots are properly moistured the air wont be ass puffy.
HAVE missed ur loc tuts....was just looking at ur old ones just the other day.....i have also taken on the not twisting my locs....bcuz it just make ur locs look sooo full...still styling but not twisting.....LOVE LOVE UR VIDS.....
I've been following you for a while now and love you girl! I've been rocking my natural hair for about 4yrs now and have recently been trying to figure out what my next step will be I've been thinking about locs but after watching your videos and seeing the styles you rock I think i'm going to do it as I see I can have almost all the styles I do with my natural hair already
Thank you *so much* for revisiting flat twists! I kept watching the "Flat Twists and Foolishness" video and thought maybe I was missing something. :-D This is so helpful, and thanks to your tutorials, I've decided not to get rid of my locs after all.
sista, you are always KILLIN' it in regards to locs. I LOOOOOOVVVVVVEEEEEE it! I've favorited quite a few of your loc tuts. Keep 'em comin'. And I second, third, quadruple, etc. all of the requests for the eyeshadow tut. Too cute, boo...
OKay yo hurrr looks like mine girl lol It's been probably 2+ months since I tightened. I'm not a fan. Q: Do you wash, but not retwist? I worry about doing that soooo I just be having dirty hair. I know, I know... How do you maintain between retwists?
Yay!! Great tutorial... I missed your videos so much I had to start posting my own...LOL!!! Just kidding...that's not why I started posting... But anywho, this is a great tutorial... Excellent detail.
You're right...it has been a hot sticky minute since I've seen you. Glad to see you feeling better sis! You look GREAT! This was very helpful! (✿◠‿º) Kokofemme
YES! FINALLY! lol you do not know how many times i watched the "Flat Twists & Foolishness" video trying not to blink thinking i missed you actually flat twisting. :-P
Question. What type of eye makeup would you do if you were wearing jeans and a white top? Nothing really has color in it and I find that the hardest to 'match'. Since it's a blank slate could you wear any color? I'm new to eye makeup so you're as pro as I can find. Love your eye makeup tuts...who am I kidding...I Love all of your tuts! My son knows your face by name! LOL!
@CurlyCaprice I never liked wearing white until recently. I would match the eyeshadow to the accesories. I personally prefer silver or gold and I would do that color eyeshadow. I love metallics year round but gold on brown skin in the springtime...too cute. *blush* (at your son comment) I so want a little boy next. :0)
I love the thickness of your roots. It's so healthy for the loc to not overtwist it all the time and your hair looks very pretty. Thank you for showing the demonstration for your flat twist; you made it look easy to do.
thanks chica! I'm going to try this with my locing gel because whenever i try to flat twist with dry hair it never comes out looking as crisp as yours.
Your locs are gorgeous. At what point did you start retwisting your hair less often? I'm still a newbie, almost 10 months, so I'm sure I probably need to retwist regularly in order to train my hair, I like how my hair looks when it's been a while since a retwist. Just wondering if you have any advice. Thanks!
So glad you are back...i been waiting for some more inspiration for the summer...and I was trying to figure out how to get my flat twists to look like yours...finally i see what i was doing wrong...Thanks!
I've been cooking all my life but I went to the International Culinary School at the Art Institute of Atlanta. Loved it! I love cooking and playing with hair and makeup. :0)
@BronzeGoddess01 That's great! I like playing with makeup also, I'll be posting videos real soon, so look out for me. Also, you can see a pic on my page of my locs, 6 years so far! Take care!
