  • Este filme me traz lembranças inesquecíveis da minha infância, meus sínceros PARABÉNS para quem o postou...e OBRIGADO por fazer recordar-me com muita nostalgia minha doce e querida infância.

  • AHHH!!! VAULT DISNEY!!! Ahh where did my childhood go?? :'(

  • Now THIS is Disney!

  • I remember watching this on Vault Disney years ago late night on the Disney Channel at midnight. Still awesome

  • My mom use to let me stay up and watch this at midnight. I miss being a kid.

  • @Kentuckykay saw your comment and felt i had to respond, so few had the experience we had as kids, i wonder do you remember the opening sequence where it took you through the vault and you saw the mad hatter from alice in wonderland and ms. poppins and pollyanna. growing up in kentucky watching zorro at 1a.m. on a school night was the best thing in the world, alas i too miss being a kid.

  • does anyone know where I can get the entitre series of this?

  • This was on a video I had and I eventually wore it out because I would rewind and watch this part over and over and over again

  • Ahhhh I used to stay up late to watch this XD >w< lol

  • I'd like to think that the villagers made this song

  • During the summer, I use to stay up till midnight every night as a kid in the 90's and watch this show...I really miss all of the old 90's shows!!! :'(

  • OMG I REMEMBER THIS!!! :D

  • I loved this, together with Lassie, Skippy and Black Beauty :)

  • @FaithInEveryone

    Ooh me to!

  • i used to watch this all the time. loved this show. if it went back on the air i'd watch it!

  • I loved! this series as a kid; heck, I'd probably still enjoy it. It's too bad it's in the vault. The dvds themselves are about one-hundred dollars a season. They should certainly consider bringing back classics such as this; they should take it out of the vault and re-produce them for a re-mastered set! Thanks for posting up the intro, it brought back some memories.

  • i saw this song ina dsieny sing along songs video called heigh ho and boy i loved it

  • @msmissjordan1 Me too!

  • @tejojo relly? wow! this was my most fav part of all the songs in it

  • aww i used to watch this with my loved ones when i was little at mid night on disney. now i don't even watch disney cause all they have is hanna montana garbage :(

  • i used to love watching this on saturday mornings

  • I remember seeing this at the carribean beach resort a lot, it was on a disney cartoon, is there not more to this intro??

  • this at tHe time durINg IKES PRESIDENCY WASTHE BEST SHOW DISNEY EVER AIRED PERIOD. GUY WILLIAMS WAS THE MAN

  • I remember when they had this on Disney channel at midnight. Now it's just hanna montana reruns.

  • @TheRazmereShow they can get rid of those hanna montana reruns and bring back Zorro I was about 8 when I 1st saw this show on TV this and the littlest hobo(about the dog) hell they could bring back lost in space

  • For SuperAoMe - Lyrics Out of the night When the full moon is bright Comes the horseman Known as Zorro This bold renegade Carves a Z with his blade A Z that stands for Zorro Zorro! The fox so cunning and free Zorro! Who makes the sign of the Z Zorro! Zorro! Zorro! Zorro! Zorro!
  • Nostalgia much? It was such a big thing back then, trying to stay up late to watch Vault Disney and catch Zorro.

  • Can somebody write me the lyrics?

    Thank you so much!

  • i remember this playing at night. i FREAKIN hated it because it was aired late at night and it doesn't play any cartoons at night

  • I love this serie, I grew up with it in Disney Time that was viewed every friday in the 80's in Sweden.

  • I have these all on tape! I'm gonna start watching them again!

  • Hey they have them on DVD now, Disney recently released them. I found the first season at Best Buy the other day...when I saw that I just had to get them. They look amazing on DVD!

  • Thats fine! I dont wanna pay if I can watch them for free!

  • Zorro .. the fox so cunning and free !! Zorro .. who makes the sign of the 'Zee' !! Yes indeed. I too grew up on this kind of Disney classic TV material !! What great TV series Walt was responsible for making, back in the late 1950s ; and what great memories theme-songs like this one bring back .. congrats, great posting !!

  • I grew up with this movie!!this is the original zorro;)

  • I made this theme song into a ringtone for my phone. I though it was a great song then when I was a kid and I still think it is the best Zorro theme ever made, period.

  • I have 3 videos of episodes of this excellent show. Shame that Disney colorized it, and that's how it's available on YouTube. I grew up watching the New World Zorro, which is just as good (moderate violence & no sex or language).

  • Zorro was my superhero before we had the word. Loved the show. Thanks for posting this!!!!

  • As far as I'm concerned, THIS is the ONLY Zorro theme song. Nothing else has come close, then or since :D

  • this is what the disney channel should be showing. not that horsecrap that they have on now!

  • I remeber watching this at the dead of night as a liitle kid, awesome show

  • @Tacom4ster Me too, one of the best parts of being a 90's kid!!

  • The series aired for two seasons on ABC's Thursday night schedule [8-8:30pm(et)] from 1957 through '59. Disney had planned the show as early as 1952, but told potential sponsor General Foods back then, when they insisted on a pilot episode, "We don't make samples" {Walt believed his track record as a producer was enough to convince ANYONE to buy or sponsor a TV show from him}. ABC accepted the series without one for the fall of '57, with 7-Up and AC/Delco auto parts as co-sponsors...

  • 0:12 it gives me chills when I see this.. a tv series that should have more chapters... thank you mr guy williams, mr disney and all the cast that gave me smiles when I remember of it.. thank you

  • Growing up in the mid 80's we didn't have the Disney Channel but would have FREE Disney for a few days so you can subscribe to the channel. I only saw one episode of Zorro and it was great along with the classic shows and movies they would show. Now the channel is run by terrible movies, shows and computer animation. No Life what so ever.

  • exelente watz musical

  • premiered on 1957? I thought this show ran from 1950 till 1952/53?

  • Ah, for the days when kids had heroes to look up to that were brave and gallant yet kind and compassionate. There was violence only when there was no other course and there was always a positive message. I wish my grandson could be lucky enough to have the same!

  • sabian que zorro en nuestro idioma es un animal por que para ustedes significaria fox

  • Film w Polsce "Polish is show";d 5/5

  • Merci Disney ! et Z

  • I remember that in the early nineties, vault disney would play reruns of this show, and I loved it. I still do.

  • Yes, Disney was so much better back in the day. I also loved the Moonspinners, but as a kid my favorite was a disney series called the HorseMasters with Annette--OMG all us girls at school played the horsemasters at recess, setting up jumping courses and pretending we were riding horses. Present day Disney is not the same.

  • i used 2 watch this all thye time when i was about 5 and im 16 now....I was even zorro for halloween that year lol

  • i used to love it 2, i watched it every day and it's always great :P surely when sgt garcia with the other soldiers chase him every where :P

  • I agree. .. disney sucks now a days

  • wouldnt it be great if the disney channel would bring back vault disney late nights for an hour or so instead of the plethora of Hannah Montana and Zack &cody reruns.

  • I'd like to know how the colouring later on is done ! :D

  • I loved watching it on Vault Disney when I was little too

  • I remember watching this when I was like 8! LOL summer nights I would stay up late and watch the Disney Vault!!!

I actually had a crush on Zoro!!! LOL XD

  • My favorite show as a kid. Also like the Scarecrow of Romney Marsh. Back in the day, Disney was way better..could do dark scary shows for kids good. Also loved 20000 Leagues Under the Sea--the giant squid upstaged everyone. Now its all that Miley and HS Musical acky stuff. I loved Sgt Garcia, he was so funny.

  • ! agree w/everything you said! I almost forgot about the Scarecrow! Also, loved Hardy Boys! Back in the day we only had 3 channels to watch,so watching premium TV,really meant a lot. How sad for the kids of today. They don't know what their missing! Also, loved "Leave it to Beaver" and "Father Knows Best'!

  • @snowgirl1052 dont forget corporal reyes!

  • Unfortunately, these main titles are not the ORIGINALS,as shown on ABC Thursday nites. It is missing the ORIGINAL opening featuring: Walt Disney Studios Present: ZORRO,,,Guy williams makes the Z and twirls into the main title theme,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,now see if you can find that!

  • If you all want to see the Origianl series episodes...check out the site of "CorporalReyes"...he has all the episodes. I have been sitting here watching them and it's almost like I am a kid again.

  • unfortunately, they're all colorized. I prefer them in their original black-and-white format.

  • Reading all these comments on how you all used to watch it on Vault Disneey, I too watched it and I was a little miffed...so to speak, when they took it off. However, unlike some of you, I had the Pleasure of growing up watching the Original series on TV...way back then in the late 50's. Wish the Disney folks would bring back these shows. Guess they forgot who put them on the map.

  • I used to love this show as a kid! A great part of my wonderful childhood in the United States!

It is said that old school desks have "Z" carved

into them. Probably because I was one of the many kids that did that!

What's strange is that I found my ancestry

    to have the "VEGA" namesake.

    My ancestors were Basque Spaniards.

    Disney was great!

  • Man, I miss Vault Disney... :(

  • It's been claimed that Walt Disney was born Oswaldo Cisneiros in Spain. While never proven it gives food for thought that Disney favored characters like Zorro, Elfego Baca, the Tombstone Arizona series and of course--- Ozzie Rabbit.

  • I'm kinda dating myself by saying this but I can remember when this would come on in the afternoon on NBC. My friends and I would sit down and regale ourselves with the tales of Old California and the legend of the Fox.

  • Ahhh I used to watch this on Vault Disney. I loved it.

I would beg my parents to let me stay up til 12:30 so I could watch it at midnight.

  • Same here. I wish Disney wouldn't have gotten rid of the classic Vault Disney.

  • Even though I never grew up during the time when the brilliant Walt Disney was alive, I too always stayed up late—and even taped the shows on archaic VHS tapes—just so I could enjoy the shows over and over again! What a treat it must've been back in the '50s anticipating a great Disneyland television program every week unlike today's television world.

  • Haha..wow. My sister and I would sneak downstairs to watch Vault Disney. My dad would sometimes randomly tape vault disney at night on a VHS (let the tape record all night), and we would watch it all the time. Man I miss this stuff.....

  • I LOVED this show and have been searching for the episodes I loved this show, and use to sneak out of bed to watch it! They always wondered why I was bad to fall asleep during math. I hated when they took it off the air!

  • I have seen different actors try to play the Zorro character over the years but none were ever as good as Guy Williams in the part.

They should bring the old Disney reruns back and show them on TV.

  • Guy Williams was my "first Zorro" as a child. Wow that was 50 years ago. It never got better than that. I agree that the Disney reruns should live on. The are so loved.....

  • I agree, the movie mask of zorro just never could replace this.

  • in their original black-and-white format.

  • The whole series was just released on DVD in its original black and white form. Both season sets can run you about 50 each but their are deals online to get them. As a bonus, each set comes with two hour long episodes that were made after the series ended. These episodes are okay, but the half hour format worked better for this show to be honest. Check the sets out, they are 100% worth getting.

  • Thanks!

I can watch Zorro and am glad.

  • Excellente' Happy & wonderful memories

  • I used to watch this with my Dad when I was about 4-5 years old and boy did I love this show. This clip brought back some great old memories. I wish they would put this on again (the original episodes).

  • This reminds me of the original 1954 Godzilla

  • I love this show

  • systemoperator, I saw this on the Heigh Ho sing-a-long as well!! My Mom had rented it, and I think I was around 4 or 5 years old at the time. ('89 or '90)

I just recently found the tape at a flea market, and bought it - just for old time's sake. lol

  • I saw a longer version of this in a Sing Along VHS "Heigh-Ho".

  • damn i loved this. Disney used to have a midnight thing called "Vault Disney" and they played this

  • So good luck!

  • It is on DVD and I got it. It's only available from the Disney Movie Club, but I got it from Amazon.

  • they need to put this on DVD NOW

  • This was a great show. Used to watch it on vault disney often at the midnight hour.

A shame disney channel is now a shit hole.

  • I just got the first season on DVD.
