nice game but still if codemasters were to work with BIS again, true sequel to OFP, for example all the voice acting and graphics from OFP:DR blended with the core of this game, it would have been a near perfect game, its a shame greed caused the split :(

I know how you can fix this problem. You have to edit your msconfig. Press the windows button and R, type in MSconfig then check selective startup. Go to the boot tab, click advanced options and make the RAM say 3072. That should fix your problem. ArmA can't run when 4G of RAM are enabled. To turn it back on just go back and unclick the RAM box so it just says a dim 0. It doesn't effect your computer in any bad ways.

I decided to download the German version via 'Petersgames' website in the end but it turns out there's an issue from the transaction 3rd party's end as my payment was not being processed. I had made 3 attempts and their support told me to keep trying and that the payment had failed.

It turns out this has happened to others and all with debit cards. PayPal works with no issue.

hrmm... being a huge arma fan, judging from this vid of the they could have made it far better... little things like the ambient sounds are important to in game depth. instead of splashes of insect noise, a constant sound would make you feel like you there more. that and the voice over acting is pretty cruddy. i have big expectations for this game when its release in aus. hopefully arma 2's multiplayer is better than arma 1. all in all looks appealing.

Gah, it's not lag, it is so the player can mvoe the weapon without having to move his entire body, usefull when you are lying close to a object and such, but yes you can disable the floating zone in options, you could do it in arma 1 and OFP aswell

It's definitely a step up from the original ArmA in just about every way. People thinking about getting this game just need to remember though that this is not Call of Duty, you are not made to catch bullets in this.

It is very easy to die, and in most of the campaign and scenario missions an ally dies (where they are completely dead), the mission ends in failure. There is a limbo state of being severely injured though that you and others can go into, and where first aid can be applied.

I love it. I really like OFP and tried to get into ARMA 1's campaign but it was not that great. Interesting to hear that you can fail a mission if an ally dies. Do you keep the same squadmates throughout the campaign? Can you "upgrade" to more specialized allies(sniper, medic etc)? Thnx
