I can't believe I used to get so upset when people used to bash Mary, Florence or Diana.
I've never met these people (D,M,F. or there dedicated internet trolls) The group was amazing. What they, Motown and other Motown acts achieved at the time was incredible. What happened after is unfortunate but that's life. Don't let what people say over the internet about a group that disbanded 35 years ago anger you. There are more important things going on right now that require your attention.
I do get the point, My is point is about Quality vs Quantity, I really don't believe Diana Ross has had many Lovers, But Miss Mary has an "Industrial Vagina" and certainly used it!

My favorite Supremes song...along with, well...all of them. But the instrmental intro blows me away every time. Whats special about this is its really live, a rarity in those days and you can really hear the magic they created.

This was Hullabaloo. I remember watching it when it aired with my parents. I told them this is my favorite group, my parents responded, "Well, they are good" I think by the end of the 60's they were really tired of hearing the Supremes, lol. I love them to this day.
I am a big fan of the older videos of the Supremes. This one is at the top of my list because it says so much in just a few seconds. From the start you see Florence trying to keep up (the heart of the group), Mary is precision personified (the beat of the group). Although Diana Ross (the sparkle of the group) seems about to spin off into the universe, her gyroscopic turn at about 0:04 seconds is magnificent! I love this stuff!

@Motownman100 when The Supremes first began recording Flo was made to sing up to 17 ft from the mic when she sung lead (Buttered Popcorn, Heavenly Father, Hey Baby, esp. Ain't That Good News, etc.). She even gave Gladys Horton of The Marvelletes advice on how to sing Please Mr. Postman. They had to train her to sing softer as to not drown out Diana. Though she wasn't Aretha, Gladys, or Patti she could belt out the tunes. Also listen to her sing "Silent Night" where you can hear her range.

You got that right!! The steps at the very beginning are KILLER. If NBC weren't such cheap bastards in the 60's we'd be watching this in COLOR right now. They taped over all the color masters of this show, except for 2 or 3, and the black and white kinescope, which you see here, is all that's left. The background is sky blue, the set decoration behind them is red, and the gowns are FLAME ORANGE. With a few green leaves in amongst them.
Your hat is safe. But...the Stones, Supremes, Ike & Tina, et. al., toured constantly together and were close friends. Yes, Diana taught Mick a hitch-step or two, but it was Tina that really schooled the boy. With a lash right cross his back, to be sure.
Great interaction indeed! This is one of my favoriate presentations they did, dance moves were together, they looked good and certainly the attention that Flo and Mary get is greatly deserved. The background vocals are where it is at, not just the lead. It is a blend which these ladies had! The #1 female group of all time, even still today, their record has not been broken!

iam not making an excuse for florence but they say she never went on stage drunk.alcoholism is a disease people dont take it as serious as cancer but it is just as deadly. we lose jobs,homes ,family.the job is usually the last to go because its our source of income for the booze.drinking followed by self loathing,guilt.embarrassment. then you wonder what is wrong wiyh me? i love my family but i cannot stop.its one of the hardest things i ever done.going on 14 years sobber.if i can you can

i said florence could sing opera some nut says opera didnt go looking for .florence motown didnt go looking for the primettes everyone knows flo picked the name supremes off a list.all opera singers have vocal coaches. sills pavorotti,all.also there is no such thing as an american opera.all operas are in french,italian and german.the closes thing to an american opera is carmen or porgie and best.florence made alot of mistakes who in the fuck doesnt.iam sure you have and i have too.

My favorite Supremes song...along with, well...all of them. But the instrmental intro blows me away every time. Whats special about this is its really live, a rarity in those days and you can really hear the magic they created.

i remember watching the supremes on tv back in the60's. My dad used to get me mad because he thought sports was more important and when the Supremes was on tv i had to see them, esp di ross. Unfortunately my dad passed away several years ago. In his CD collection was, DI ross. She touched everyone.

This was Hullabaloo. I remember watching it when it aired with my parents. I told them this is my favorite group, my parents responded, "Well, they are good" I think by the end of the 60's they were really tired of hearing the Supremes, lol. I love them to this day.

I am a big fan of the older videos of the Supremes. This one is at the top of my list because it says so much in just a few seconds. From the start you see Florence trying to keep up (the heart of the group), Mary is precision personified (the beat of the group). Although Diana Ross (the sparkle of the group) seems about to spin off into the universe, her gyroscopic turn at about 0:04 seconds is magnificent! I love this stuff!

@Motownman100 when The Supremes first began recording Flo was made to sing up to 17 ft from the mic when she sung lead (Buttered Popcorn, Heavenly Father, Hey Baby, esp. Ain't That Good News, etc.). She even gave Gladys Horton of The Marvelletes advice on how to sing Please Mr. Postman. They had to train her to sing softer as to not drown out Diana. Though she wasn't Aretha, Gladys, or Patti she could belt out the tunes. Also listen to her sing "Silent Night" where you can hear her range.

You got that right!! The steps at the very beginning are KILLER. If NBC weren't such cheap bastards in the 60's we'd be watching this in COLOR right now. They taped over all the color masters of this show, except for 2 or 3, and the black and white kinescope, which you see here, is all that's left. The background is sky blue, the set decoration behind them is red, and the gowns are FLAME ORANGE. With a few green leaves in amongst them.

Your hat is safe. But...the Stones, Supremes, Ike & Tina, et. al., toured constantly together and were close friends. Yes, Diana taught Mick a hitch-step or two, but it was Tina that really schooled the boy. With a lash right cross his back, to be sure.

Great interaction indeed! This is one of my favoriate presentations they did, dance moves were together, they looked good and certainly the attention that Flo and Mary get is greatly deserved. The background vocals are where it is at, not just the lead. It is a blend which these ladies had! The #1 female group of all time, even still today, their record has not been broken!
