  • Where I come from we season our crawfish with that swamp fire ya hear

  • Flashlights are illegal in Sweden?!?!?

  • @vta1985 no, but using them in purpose of fishing crayfish is. They get stunned by the sudden light and I guess that they banned the method in order to keep the fishing from becoming to extensive. Everybody in Sweden loves crayfish you see and no one wants to eat crayfish that isn't from Sweden.

  • i like to feed them only!! ^^

  • wow I just boil them with lemon then just dump it on a table like a Asian

  • That was the most artistic cooking video I have ever seen.

  • @givemericht Thanks?

  • @Yellowcard7777 No, thank you. How much of the crayfish do you eat?

  • @givemericht Starting by pulling the tail out, make a cut underneath, remove shell along with "poop hose (located along the top underneath the shell)", sometimes there will be yellow "butter" and red caviar all good to eat. arms + claws, not shell or GRISTLE. and you could try if they are big enoung to carefully scrape the inside (body) for white/grey flesh, If there is anything black don't even think about eating it, Tastes like shit and it probably is, and this includes the brain.

  • @givemericht i go a little bit further then this guy; watch?v=eDSCgy3eph0&NR=1&feature=fvwp

But no one will blame u if you do only as much as he does.

  • :'( Crayfish are such cute creatures! They don't have that much meat either! If you're going to eat crayfish, eat lobsters instead!

  • so the crayfish i caught had little white worms coming out of them, are they still safe to eat?

  • @gnomehater63 hope you're not joking with me... Anyway, NO. Do not eat!, High possibility of it being a parasite, do not risk it. Did all of them have worms?

  • @gnomehater63 what? that's so scary.

  • you should try some Louisiana crawfish! its the best!

i highly suggest either looking up crawfish farm or coming to Louisiana and going to one of the big casinos so you can have fun and eat some of our crawfish

  • @2266money If I'm ever in the neighborhood, (one day I hopefully will be), Then I will. ^^)

  • star wars much lol

  • @Yellowcard7777 hey u dumb bitch, do u really think this guy eats them raw, are u really this stupid? i call u a dumb bitch because u have to be a women.......lol open ur mouth i got to shit

  • @bigalz420 After seeing people licking their shoe on the subway or seeing how shitheads like you behave. And I tell u that eating any kind of live fish isn't unusual. take this /watch?v=sql4Lu1tj0M for example. He did it to get laid but still.

  • @bigalz420

Hey asshole, show some manners. Raw seafood is regularly eaten all over the world. I suggested you shut your mouth, and go back to whatever rat-infesting stink-hole you came from.

  • @LuckyDukeSeven High-five! ^^)

  • @MrMAndiG Hey, there are more streams, rivers and ponds contaminated in Europe from wars than there are contaminated streams, rivers and ponds in the U.S. from manufacturing, so don't be so smug about being from a European country.

That not withstanding, I wouldn't eat anything "raw", including fish, doesn't matter whether you call it Sushi or something else. Clean it, cook it, eat it, and avoid intestinal malfunctions, it's that simple.

  • @Dem0D1ck ending a statement with 'its that simple' when it's simply your opinoin, is stupid

  • they are called marron and they are found in fresh water in Western Australia

  • definitely a different recipe, have to try it.

  • Crayfish is sooo good!!! me and my brother catch them in the susquenna and nearby creek boil them up and eat them!!! omg!!!

  • Well it depends in where you end up. In some areas people behave like Sweds are suppose to, but more and more people are starting to focus on their selfs rather then others. Other than that, Welcome to Sweden and a marry Christmas and a happy new year to you!

  • @Yellowcard7777

    haha good response!

if you ever come to USA let me know. I go to a town in MAINE called Denmark. it has huge mountains and beautiful lakes!

Lots of Crayfish! Lots of fishing!

I just cooked "krafta" the way you did in the video tonight with my friends...Thanks for recipe!

We all liked it alot! Takk, Dankeschoen, hvala.. haha

if you have facebook, I am "Michael Keuhl Hammermeister"

if you care to chat or whatever.

    Skaal!

  • @Yellowcard7777 why is it illegal to use a flashlight to catch them their only crayfish?

  • @nichoharri I can only speak for Swedish law, anyway, it is illegal because it would be to easy to get them. The light has an paralyzing effect making it super easy to catch them. And to prevent "out-fishing", People would just go and buy 1.21 GigaWatts light beams and all the crayfish in Sweden would be gone in a matter of weeks. So a good, but extremely boring law.

  • @Yellowcard7777 1.21 GigaWatts!?!?!?!

  • @matthew262 O yeah!

  • @Yellowcard7777 Great Scott!!!!

  • @matthew262 Why don't you make it like a tree and get out???????(I have no clue of how it goes) I have no idea what kind of game we're doing.....

  • @Yellowcard7777 no game just liked the back to the future ref. and Biff says "Why don't you make like a tree, and get out of here". }:o) I like movie quotes..

  • @Yellowcard7777 We need some of you Swedes here in Arizona. These guys have overpopulated our streams and lakes and are having devastating effects on our ecosystem. Problem is, nobody here eats them for some reason except a few old timers and kids who were raised on it (like me). I can go to the nearby creek with a seine and fill a 5 gallon bucket nearly every time. No laws against taking them, they're invasive "Illegal Aliens" ha.

  • @Jenult haha. Well I suppose I could spread the word around! :)

  • Definitely a new recipe for me. I wrote it down in my "Game Recipe Book/Journal"

Thank you for the video and recipe, I enjoyed it verymuch...Where do you live, I understand Crawfish are most everywhere...Even in England there are American Crawfish(invading species)

Awesome music by the way too!

  • @chiprommel Sweden. We still have all of our natural species and hopefully it will last. Glad you liked!

  • @Yellowcard7777 You are lucky to live in Sweden! I have a dream of moving there...But I don't know if Swedish people would accept me! I love Scandanavian culture, everything about the land and the history!

Some of my family is from Norway. I live in northern USA now...I do not like most Americans!

You guys have everything better in Sweden!!! Northern lights, great fishing, most beautiful women... Enjoy Yule and have a happy new year!

  • WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING??? Come down to Louisiana or Texas and we will show you how to cook CRAWFISH! Yes CRAWFISH!

  • @hottshorty9210 No, I wont spend all my buck just to fly across the pond in order to learn an american recipe for crayfish, btw: "kräfta" is the Swedish word for cray- or crawfish, google-translate it if you don't believe me. Could you also post a video response, I'm curious to learn how you do it in the southern states.

  • Top tip: please always put your crayfish into a freezer before boiling, for about 10 mins (or until they stop moving). Don't freeze them, but greatly reduce their body temperature (as they are cold blooded) they go into a state of torpor (like a very deep sleep/hibernation), so don't feel anything when placed in 100*C water and die instantly and painlessly.

  • if i catch crayfish from murky water then put it in a tank of water with filters and such would the muddy flavor leave?

  • @snowblazer12 no, the bad flavor is deeply "roted (like old trees if you get what I mean)" in the flesh of the crayfish. But, You could try to catch the tiny tiny tiny crayfish and put it in a clean environment and eat it when it's full grown. That could work, but I don't think so. In the end, in short terms, no it wont help.

  • @snowblazer12 what you do is put them in a cooler with a filter full of really really salty water. Thats how they do it down south and here in nebraska. The salt helps them purge. You drain the water from the cooler and refill it until the water stays clear. Then you're ready to cook. They only taste like mud if you don't purge them.

  • nice, would the murky water thing apply to clay bottom lake?

  • @stonewolf456 I'm from Sweden so give me the coordinates and I'll use those in Google earth, and I get back to you as soon as I can.

  • @stonewolf456 Sorry, I thought the name of the lake was "clay b......". So. yes and no. If it's a solid clay that doesn't mix with the water then it should be fine. You could simply taste the water down at the bottom, Don't drink it! Flush it out with clean water and drink some "a-Fil". It's something that we in Sweden eat for breakfast, it's a controlled mix of milk that has gone bad and a bacteria called "Acidophilus". If the water taste bad, the crayfish = bad taste, Tip: try and boil one.

  • @stonewolf456 The "a-Fil" kills any bad bacteria that you could get from the lake.

  • I love the music,,,,,

  • @mythicalflame

Lol I was just about to say that

  • "Note the beautifuk color"

    lol

  • great vid but some depresing music

  • what is a tuck?

  • @ironlionkalo I guess this is a Google trans prob, since I'm a language noob. Tuck was the top translation however now it is: collection bag, ring net, hoop-net, net.

  • haha beautifuk LMAO ... srry im imature sometimes haha , nice video ... a whole lot better tyhan my lobster cooking vid haha

  • LOL BEAUTIFUK!!

  • did it taste good?

  • @antman3456 Yes, but ad a bit more salt to it, like i wrote in the annotations.

  • i live in louisiana to im in baton rouge u kno any good spots

  • @BIGBANKSBOY Well, here in Sweden they appear almost anywhere there is freshwater. You have to look for their food. They eat dead fish and stuff like that, if it's water with little life in it then they won't be there. I've checked Google earth, and I would try going up to the north and to the north-east. Get away from the salt water. Try the lakes in the north there around Jena and Jonesville.

  • @BIGBANKSBOY If there only are lake bottoms that are just sand, get a few, I believe it's "tiles", like soften washboard that goes on top of roofs, place those on the bottom so that you give the crayfish somewhere to hide. let 'em be for a few days and then try the cages or how you want to do it. The best way in the end is to ask an older person that has been fishing the area for a time, they often know best.

  • @BIGBANKSBOY About the getting away from the salt water, crayfish lives in salt water as well, but I haven't ever tried to catch them, so I have no clue. But it wouldn't probably be health since the oil and all.

  • crayfish are yummy but SCARY looking, they look like aliens and I'm scared of touching them. any tips?

  • @playdrums At first you always want to let go of it as soon as it starts to move, don't. You have to know where to grab it. They have to claws, attached to arms, grab them behind where the arms connect to the body. There it can't grab YOU. well, just keep saying to yourself that it cannot hurt you, except for the raly big ones. It hurts like h**l. Another way is to let yourself get pinched by small ones until you realize it won't hurt you, however, not recommended.

  • @playdrums keep grabbing them behind the arms until you are comfortable with them. Take a deep breath and go for it.

  • its not crayfish u dumb ass. its CRAWFISH. Learn how to freaking spell, and get your facts straight.

  • @ColorMePrettyPINK Thanks for having such a nice attitude an by the way, go google translate, Search "kräfta" from Swedish to English, kräfta = CRAYFISH / crawfish,

    Thanks noob
