Actually Winstone's performance was brilliant. He played a bloke who was absolutely terrified of his associates. He knew how to get results but not against superhooligans like nutcase (Don). I didn't imply that there weren't real men like Logan, that wasn't my point at all. 'Sexy Beast' is a drama and that's my interest in it. It's such a high quality drama, it's themes go far beyond crime or "bad men". To me, the film is ultimately about love. It's Shakespearian in it's themes and much bigger than being simply based on it's villain. Your comment did not "infuriate my sense of intelligence". Some of the strongest acting I've seen around. Most noticeably for me when the couples were having dinner out and learned that Logan was coming to town - how they changed the mood at that table was just brilliant. It was really a strong comment on the forthcoming character.
