keep practicing, try and see any progress (even if its small) in your work, keep steady hands and be relaxed but mostly squeeze less at the top of your pass so theres more thickness on the pot's shoulder
Dearest Simon, If you ever decide to throw pitchers/Jugs for us please please! Do not
Title your video with the word JUGS! The sidebar videos next to Buds is outragous wth many many of the female kind, if you know what I mean HaHa? DebraRay
Though I liked the outcome, it was simply painful to watch that perfect form being ... well assaulted! I really enjoyed watching these pieces being made. It is a wonderful form that begs to be held and you did it without effort (or so it appeared). Again, Thank you. Simply a pleasure to watch.
Thanks for all the time you devote to helping us become better potters. It is especially helpful to all of us who are just beginning this journey. You will never know how much you have taught me already.
Oh, welcome back (to pottery)! I saw you yesterday for a few seconds dealing with a paella, but couldn't quite relate, as I don't eat animals. It's good to see you are integrating with the Valencian reality, though.
I have been throwing for two school semesters and having entered my second semester I discovered Im having trouble throwing vase forms all together
mostly in collaring in the top to create the lip
the clay usually becomes extremely off-center or tears into my hands destroying the whole project...any suggestions?

Nice and simple. Direct effects always look more lively.
Are there any circumstances under which you would once-fire your glazed work, Simon?

Very nice decoration! I like the texture decorations. They add more depth to the pot.
Thanks for sharing and welcome back!
