Please explain the book of Deuteronomy; stoning of woman? among other horrible laws...I never read the old testament until recently, I am a christian who is struggling to make sense of it. He seems like a different God in caparison to Jesus Christ.
I've been challenged by your take of the bible. At first I was very skeptical so much so that I though that God had to cause good and let bad happen. I'm glad to know there's more Hebrew idoms behind it. What about the Geneva bible vs KJ? I love your book. I do hope for the REV version bible since I don't read Greek or Hebrew.
The text Exo 4:21 'I will hearden his heart' in most English translations.
Surprisingly, the only correct translation on this text I have found is New World Translation by the Watch Tower Society (Jehovah's witnesses) ;-/ I shall let his heart become obstinate.
Similarly Ezek 20:15 'I myself also let them have regulations ....
Actually, this is the best explanation yet that I have ever heard for the hardening of Pharaoh's heart. I'm watching this because I plan to upload a video about this book, and I think that I will address your argument specifically because it is a pretty good one.
John is a great teacher. I've watched just about all his videos and am so thankful for what he has taught. That is not to say the I just accept what he says. I belong to no religion or group, and I HAVE to research what a person is telling me is true because I've seen how a sincere person can put a slant on their belief to sound convincing, only to find what they DIDN'T tell me, by researching further, made it not acceptable to fit God's wonderful Word. Like John says, RESEARCH what he says.
Could you make a video explaining Matthew 7:13?
