ya ya the crowd getting excited and joining in is one thing, but a group of degenerates howling so loud that you cant even hear ben is a bit much.
especially when ben folds changes it up every time he plays. he doesnt just rhyme off the album version everytime, but they missed out on these little tweaks and so did we cos some brainless rednecks couldnt just chill and enjoy genius. "RIGHT MAN EWWWWWWWWWW"
@warlockconlanabu The mood at this performance was positive and like a party. I don't think Ben or anybody in the crowd had a bad time. So I guess your criticism is that nobody sacrificed their good time to consider what you might like. Life is so hard sometimes.
@BenShirai ok this time i hope you take the 30 seconds to read this comment before auto-trolling. Bens originality and improvisation comes out when playing live gigs and i thought this crowd denied him any chance to add anything in cos they were screaming the cookie-cutter lyrics down his throat. meh what do i know? i wasnt fortunate enough to be there, thank you for posting this vid tho. its interesting
All you jack-wagons crying about the crowd singing need to stfu. This isn't a paid concert. This is in a Starbucks with about 30 people. And think about this: how many times do you see artists at huge concert arenas stop singing and hold their microphone out to the crowd to get them to sing along? All the time. They love it. The energy in this tiny room must have been unbelievable. Wish I was there.
wooo i looove ben folds!! holy crap, did he dress up as an employee then bust the piano out??
ahhh i think it sounds pretty awesome with the audience in it too. true, you can't really hear ben all that well, but it's good that everyone was getting into it.
lol. i love how at the end, he's like, "ok back to work"
people dont perform to listen to themselves play, they perform for others enjoyment
why would the audience just sit there if they want to sing along and show their support for a great artist while having a good time? hes in a barista outfit for crying out loud its not a formal orchestral concert
@toddbolden So...about a century and a half ago? People have been screaming and singing along since, oh...the Beatles, Bo Diddley...people were quiet for symphonies, though. I, too, wish it were like the old symphony days.
I'm just guessing, but seeing as he is playing in a starbucks...he was prolly given the apron (it's the ones that the baristas wear)...either just as a gift or maybe he really got behind the counter and tried his hand at making a latte...
Fantastic! I would prefer to hear Ben sing. Could not imagine being there... Way cool. Like the uniform and standard issue Sharpie. No room for cream.
ahahaha awesome song! i can play it on the piano but not like that. looks like ben was a little bit out done with the singing though. still awesome job!
Why is he dressed like he works there? Lol.

what an awesome vibe !!!!!
which is what its all about at the end of the day.
audiences singing along in mass unison help achieve this.

bad taste. audience increases the performer's will to play and makes everything better.

I know people love to sing along, but don't. It absolutely kills the song.

It's "solemn" bro. And why is Ben wearing an apron? Regardless, this is one of the best videos I've ever witnessed.
