I used live on Tariq back in the 70's ,all the way upto the early 90's .Back then this was a purely residential area.I can't believe the changes that have taken place.Glamour One was being built right across where I used to live back in the early 80's.The house where I used to live is now replaced by a shopping plaza.Though the house next door is still intact.There was also a "jheel" behind the house which i've been told has been filled up.Ah! a LOT of old memories in that place.

Thanks, karachi was a beautiful city in the 60s, it was an open city, women could walk on the roads, we had clubs, bars, cinemas, even night clubs! can u belive it? it was a cosmopolitan thriving city, we had memon, punjabi, pathan, ismailii , muhajir , sindhi friends and no one cared, it was and still is like Bombay, and it must be kept that way if Pakistan is to survive for all nationalities live here and they all belong to Karachi, God bless her and all who belong to her.
Yeah,the 60's and the 70's were the glorious years ! Place has turned into a cesspool now.I have some very fond memories of growing up there in the 70's and 80's.This "talibanization" is destroying the country!

classic video man, my family has a house near tariq road, i went there a couple of years ago and this video brings back memories, i will always remember people on motorcycles and rickshaws and people hanging off busses.
