  • very entertaining good job guys

  • sloppy

  • this is so....confusing hahahah. I am a Kenpo Blackbelt. God why don't they keep there hands up...they just launch in fists going like whirlwinds....honest to god these are the championships? yikes....keep your hands up is the first rule! in Kenpo these guys would be down for the count in seconds. jees! but I guess its just the style to each there own nice video :)

  • IMO, the touch scoring sparing system will ruin TSD the same way it ruined TKD.

Those slapping kicks at the 1:44 mark is typical of what I'm talking about.

You don't have to go full contract, but points should be award for techniques that can knock a person out. Not a back fists. Not slapping round kicks.

Those are sporting techniques that has nothing to do with the martial aspect of the arts.

    Just my two cents.

  • probably going to regret this but throwing my hat into the ring as a 2 dan blackbelt in TSD, I think both should be considered sports, since the really came from the same origins and in watching alot of fights as well as fighting alot of TKD guys, both fights are very alike

  • TSD is so much more disciplined that TKD.

  • PPFFTTT LOLOLOLOLOL

  • and i'm not dissing Tang Soo Do that was my first style

i'm just saying that it is more of an art and not a sport

  • It depends on whoever you trained with because I trained under Ki Whang Kim and your ass wont kick shit from our school.

  • my ass wont kick shit? what the heck does that even mean

i think you mean my ass wouldn't handle it and i can tell you oh it would

you wouldn't be able to handle our training

    one kick and you're out

  • Tang Soo Do is an art unto itself..and requires years of study, dedication and discipline... the style may be less intrusive in comparison to other syles but only as effective as the practioner...as a Tang Soo Do student .. I believe......

  • tang soo do sparring is weak i did tkd and tsd and i can kill w/ both combined but it's too weak on it's own

  • how can u call that weak theyre throwing themselves at each other and making a bunch of points! maybe your tsd sparring was weak but tsd mgk's isnt...

  • okay let me change that phrasing up

    it's not logical

    there isn't enough counter attacking

    whereas tkd

we teach so much counter attacking it's second nature

  • Lmao, that's hilarious. First off, this is all dependant on the teacher and the school. Second off, I've seen a lot more crappier TKD schools than TSD. Flashy kicking techniques or emphasized with an almost scornful regard for punches. Not very practical.

  • the school i am attending teaches tang soo jitsu its pretty cool cuz it is a mix

  • hey that might just be your school, because my instructor has us practicing countering around the clock...

BTW all of this "tsd is better" "no tkd is better" "no they both suck" All comments like that are plain stupid. Every style is basically equal. Some are trained at stand up.. some are trained for ground game. But when It all comes down to it.. The better fighter usually has a great instructor and the will to become better.

  • the strength in the art is only as good as the practioner......TSD matches can be very intense if both practioners are fevernt

  • LMFAO! "I can kill with both." Wow. Just wow. I can see that you made this comment over a year ago. I hope you have grown a bit more intelligent during that time period.

  • maybe i have maybe i haven't

but you won't ever know until you fight me

and i tell you right now i'm undeafeated

got my black belt in TSD and TKD going to get it in BJJ high school varsity wrestling and Muay Thai

yes i have grown a bit more intelligent you can say that fighting is 60% mental and 40% physical

  • I would say it's 10% Physical and 90% Mental. Why do you think much older guys in theirs 60's and up can still defeat guys in their primes?

  • Go Master Bergers!!!
