Mmh,i rebuild this on a server,and it doesn't work as it does in your singeplayer world file.

I put torches everywere in the neighborhood,but still,the efficiency is not nearly at the level as it is on singlyplayer...beside making light everywere outside the spawning-grounds,any more tips to increase that/any advice??!!

nice trap, but i've build something you can build easily on survival, just check it out on my channel, it uses a little resources and gives a lot of XP+ drops(A)

Just remember that for maximum efficiency, one must light up all other blocks within 144 (I think) blocks of the trap so that all mobs are doomed to spawn in the spawn rooms and not somewhere else. Thumbs up so people can see this.

After making a mob tower a while ago using this template it didnt take as long as i thought it would. I made a mob tower and dug 25 x 25 down until i hit bedrock and then built it up with all the floors etc. It literally only took like maybe 14 hours max for everything I didnt use a edit to edit how high it could go though. Also do Mob towers even still work cause my mob tower i made in like 1.6 and now i get like nothing in hours.

@MattTerryAccount They work perfectly fine, but you need to make sure you are somewhere nearby because mobs don't spawn if you are too far away. To test it, stand nearby for 10 mins and see if you get any drops. Also, you really should update your map or something.

To make it even better you could add a second spawning floor in between the monster one and the kill room. You could make dirt stairs temporarily to it so grass would grow. Friendly mobs could spawn there. Also harvest meat!!!

30 min test is not representative. a day night cycle is 20 min so you need a test of either 20, 40, 60 ,80 , ... etc minutes.

Mobs can spawn outside your grinder and affect your drop rate (at night is diffferent than at day)

I tested this out and the rate of items was good, but the endermen are a problem as their grief will steal blocks and mess up the flow of the water to where you need to repair it. If anyone was to use this on a server, you'd have to have the plugin to disable endermen grief.
