I was in the market for a pick-up truck and if Jeep had any I would have bought it with my eyes blindfolded, then I ended up buying a Chevy Avalanche, but kept my jeep though just couldn't let it loose, it is my trained horse.
It's really sad that Jeeps aren't appreciated by our military anymore...

I just bought a 2004 Ford Ranger because I can't find a decent small pickup of any recent year. I would like to see a small simple DIESEL pickup, like the mid 80s Isuzu P'up diesel.
Jeep could totally do this. (I wish Chrysler would spin Jeep off. Otherwise you've got a Jiat or a Feep.) So could Ford, e.g. if based on the Transit Connect. (Or as I call it, the Turkish Delight.)
