You're right. It's NOT "about the war." It's about people refusing to hold the administration accountable to the Constitution during 8 years of a right-wing administration, and of now using terms like "socialism" and "nazism" in the wrong way. Katy and "Joe the Plumber" are examples of all those, on either side, who do not know what the Constitution contains, and who are unable to debate their points when called out on them. "Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" are not unconstitutional.

Sorry, but the constitution does not give the federal government the right to take over the administration of health care. The founders would be horrified that people in this country are even considering handing over such power to the federal government. I'm livid that Bush spied on us (tracking emails and phone calls nationwide) and took away a person's right to habeus corpus just on his say so. I'm livid that all of that happened without our consent, without even the illusion of a democratic discussion, and the right quietly went along. I lived in a socialist country for a long time and saw how everyone got health care, and everyone has a pension. Those, to me, guarantee "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."

Are you livid that he supports even more intrusive policies, such as requiring people to have end of life counseling and wanting "emergency control" over the Internet? Please, everyone in this country who needs it gets health care and we don't have to wait 12 months to have hip replacement, or 5 to 12 hours when we walk into the ER. There's a high cost to govt health care, and I'm not just talking from a monetary standpoint.

Omer -- socialized medicine is awful! and immoral! It does NOT provide universal care, for one thing. That's the big lie. It creates long waiting lines. In Canada it can take months and years to see a doctor.
Furthermore, America, prior to 1960, had a free medical industry, and there was universal coverage, the highest quality care in the world, affordability, and to top it off there was continual advancement of medicine.
