  • ahh illusion of gaia reminds of a time long forgotten in the 90's..When I could play games not worry about life or school ahaha..Now days when I play them I worrie about life and keeping up with my studys in school..90's were epic but the 80's was cool to.

  • This theme kinda gave me a sense of hypsiphobia. Like if I was at the same height as the sky garden, I was either going to fall and die, or get teleported to a place like this with monsters and nothing to fight them with, much less a life bar to stay alive with. o_O

  • I always found this part of the game really difficult!

  • @dlewzey It's not difficult it's just looooooooooonnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggg. The boss in it is probably the easiest one.

  • @stupidity265lol Totally agree, I could beat that boss in my first attempt.

The difficult and annoying part of this level is the design of the garden that will confuse you during your quest of obtaining the crystal balls.

  • Good stuff bro. Now to actually play the game.

  • first time i played this game i was 3 or 4 years old...still blows my mind when i play it,awesome game. Games you have played as a little child are the best, you can´t remember everything, but you sure as hell know you saw it before ;)

  • @Joker12332111 Exactly the same with me!

  • One of my all time favorite dungeons and dungeon-themes. :)

  • This would be a really awesome overworld theme for an RPG.

  • This is my favorite level because it just blows my mind.

The whole design of having a backwards garden and the song adds a level of awesomeness like its saying:Look at this amazingly built place with this amazing technology.

  • I still play this game sometimes on my SNES. It may be not as good as Terranigma but has the greatest soundtrack ever made for a video game. I ran through all these dungeons again and again just to listen to it once more.

  • Somebody's chasing you, ku ku ku...

  • What i like about this song is whenever I leave darkspace i always imagined that Will would be freaked out to be reminded that he's 10,000ft up in the air and in some cases upside down. I just think the first 20 seconds really captures that

  • love it

  • This level was so far ahead of it's time, and its still imo one of the most interesting puzzle-dungeons of all time...

I flipped the fuck out when The Garden started to fall, may as well have been falling irl, it was so intense to my tiny childish mind xD

  • This is probably my favorite dungeon from this game. The whole "walking on the ceiling" thing blew my mind at the time.

  • @AxleCarp yeah it somehow had elements of super mario galaxy in 1994 :)

  • @AxleCarp That and the Awesome Music ^_^

  • My FAVORITE level in the game, and at least one of my favorite songs.

  • This is one of those songs that gets me all excited and energetic and happy because it is just so awesom.

I also love great wall of china theme, lily's theme the new world theme the ankor watt(in real life spelled:Angkor watt)

  • Another awsome stage in the SNES game series!

Even if its kinda easy its awsome!

And by the way here is my top 3 Illusion of gaia Musics:

    1. ANKOR VAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!that place was the reason i never finished the game in my childhood! but i finished it about 7 years later on my emulator.

    2. Great Wall of China!!

    3: Sky Garden!!!!!

  • my favourite music track of the game. I really like how the music inverts, just like the level itself does, and that the game references that the comet's light creates shadow... thus there are two sides to the coin.

  • @Carrotha

Just curious, but what do you mean "the music inverts"? Are you talking about 1:39?

  • yes. :)

  • ah i really love exactly that part! haha

sadly that softer part is so short

  • Favorite theme of the game....

if you don't the game you know it mean a great castle in the sky!!!!!!

    GREAT SONG!!!!!

  • My favorite theme.

    WOOT!!

    i loved this part.

  • I have to agree with many of you. This was one awesome game. Time to fire up the Console Classix. It has been years since I've played it!

  • God I love this theme! It sounds European kind of!

  • I loved this game, so much.

    Beat it at age 10.

  • EPIC...loved to play the game back then...definitly one of the most underrated snes games ever...

  • It was underrated, really?

  • Favourite bit is 1:39 to 1:57.

Man, good old days when you could just play video games all day without worrying about a thing like school, work or life lol.

  • @vknong that is the best part man, wouldn't surprise me if it was everyone's favorite part :p

  • This game was hard, yet fun. I've yet to return to it, but I should.

  • This area may have been simple, but damn it was fun, and the BGM never left my mind, even after all these years, after someone who owned it when it he was young and the game itself was new, known here as :"Illusion of Gaia"

  • I looooove on : 1:39 !!!!

  • fucking sky temple.....I must have been there for 6 hours trying to figure out how to collect everything.......

  • Oh my God, the Sky Garden level drove me INSANE. It probably wouldn't have been quite so bad if I wasn't hell-bent on getting every single Red Jewel...

  • Did you ever get them all?

  • Nope, still trying ^_^

  • If you've ever played Soul Blazer, you'll get a surprise when you succeed.

  • I beat the special boss from soul blazer in illusion of gaia.

Best fucking ending to this game ever

  • @piromaniac9999 You beat Metal Mantis too, sweet.

  • Such awesome music. I loved the enemies and puzzles in this level too; everything was just so kickass!

  • after Mu, this was the hardest one

  • This was my favorite level/level theme.

  • this track is my favorite out of this game

  • This is one of the greatest level ever designed for a RPG.

Jumping down to the other side of the level, which affects the objects on the upper side, simply EPIC.

  • EPIC!

  • i love how it inverts.

  • i love the music to this level! it's great 8)

  • I love it !!!

    where did you get it?

  • I just typed in Illusion of Gaia MP3 on google. I went to the first option and downloaded all the songs to my computer.

  • @xXVegaxIoriXx You could get an spc player and download the spc file for this and have playback FOREVER. Its awesome I do it all the time with SNES games. But yea this SNES game is definitely underrated along with other great Enix games like Brainlord, Secret of Mana and Skyblazer.

  • @EarthTraveling secret of mana isn't really a Enix game

  • @MrNunfister Yeah it's a Sqaure game, whoever said that you tell 'em.

  • @xXVegaxIoriXx You can get an SPC player and download the SPC soundtrack for this game and listen to it playback FOREVER. Its awesome I do it all the time with other great SNES game music. But yea this game is definitely underrated along with other old Enix SNES games like Brainlord and Soul Blazer.
