This may be due to Joni Wilson being in the Debonaires who were also on Revilot. One can only surmise the connection between Debonaires, Revilot and the Parliaments
What they say is true: the art known as Pure Funk stems from this song. And this is my first time ever hearing it. I still like the 1974 reimagination better, though.
