  • One of my fav songs and fav bass lines!!

  • i love this version maybe even more than the later version. love the lyrics anyway

  • one of my favorites, dig that bass

  • I was 12 when I first heard this and thought it was even better than I Wanna Testify, which I loved! I was a geeky kid that loved the funk at an early age!

  • @hollidayevery me too! but i was no geek...i think

  • "Let HURT put you behind the wheel"...lol, that a nice play on the old Hertz commercials

  • GREAT SONG :D So much cooler than the later one

  • George Clinton is a GENIUS!

  • FUNKY! Love this version

  • I wonder if Parliament is taking applications???

  • bang on. sir

  • Never heard this version before. The(later?) Parliament version is just about my favourite track ever. When is this from?

  • @TheNotoriousBOA

1967...the single behind "I Wanna Testify".....

  • Real nice song

  • I wish there was a Revilot box set..so much good material on that label. Only then our goodies wouldn't be gone.

  • fine fine tune! thanks for uploading

  • @qiput You're welcome...

  • I'm still looking for their live footage of this song & The Goose..still no luck

  • Keep lookin'

  • this is my favorite of their Revilot sides, i have the same 45 copy

  • Cool

  • volt released a single (n°4070) by joni with that same song under a different title which is (Let Hurt Put You In The) Loser's Seat: i only listen to it once in my life

  • This may be due to Joni Wilson being in the Debonaires who were also on Revilot. One can only surmise the connection between Debonaires, Revilot and the Parliaments

  • great song!! i only find joni wilson's version a bit more touching

  • I never heard that version.

  • awesome so tight

  • absolute class , thanks x

  • What they say is true: the art known as Pure Funk stems from this song. And this is my first time ever hearing it. I still like the 1974 reimagination better, though.

  • thank you man, i´m looking for this song for years

  • You're welcome

  • That's what's up. I love the intro....HOT HOT HOT...

  • This could be the best song ever. The Up For the Down Stroke version takes it beyond even where the mothership has dared ever ventured.
