It's funny ... I only saw this guy a few times in my life. As a very infrequent star gazer I always watched his show whenever I was fortunate enough to see it. It was a special treat. Although I don't quite understand why, some people are truly special. He is one of those people. His unique & quirky presentation will be missed by me. His enthusiasm & creativity made this little show both educational & a lot of fun to watch. This man had a rare gift. RIP Jack, you made star gazing a lot more fun!
I think in honor of the man, we should begin referring to the Summer Triangle as the Stargazer Triangle.... With the feeling felt here and all that he has done for astronomy, it seems fitting that a new Summer and Labor Day Tradition should be to find the Stargazer Triangle....
"Keep looking up," for the Stargazer Triangle.....
He helped me find Comet Halley which I did Mar. 31, 1986. I would like to see those old videos.
