What I can't get over is the fact that Caradine and Price are hanging out and listing to live New Wave-ROFL. But Price *was* pretty cool, after all. :)
este video es en honor a todos los amantes del terror y del maestro vincet price y para mi es la mejor parte de la pelicula " el club de los monstruos " besos y sigan pasandola genial entre las tinieblas muackk
So there we are touring with BA Robertson about, oh about six months before this, and we are both asked to write songs for this film ! At the premiere we are all sitting there quietly in the cinema when his song comes on, except its not his its actually one of ours from the tour.............check out Tango In Mono and I think you will see exactly what I mean.......bad man BA.........
@rozgallagher Just to be clear, you are not saying you wrote "Sucker for Your Love" and he simply took it, but that "Sucker's" verse and riff is basically the chorus and riff from your "Tango in Mano," which is true enough. I hope you were able to at least confront him, too bad it probably wasn't worth suing over!

In response, the most fascinating thing is not the camera dynamics. The most fascinating thing is the fact that somehow Vincent Price decided it was a good idea to get involved in this video. What is this crap? The name, the makeup and the lyrics do not in anyway fit together to make a cohesive image. Just curious who's brainchild this band was. Cause I'm pretty sure they should be sterilized.
This is isn't really a video. It's a scene from British horror anthology film, The Monster Club. The framing device is that a vampire (Vincent Price) invites horror novelist (John Carradine) to an exclusive monster social club and tells him stories. In between stories popular British bands from the 70's perform. This singer is B.A. Robertson.
Here is a rundown of the soundtrack... 01. Monsters Rule O.K. - The Viewers 02. Sucker For Your Love - B.A. Robertson 03. The Stripper - Night 04. 25 Per Cent - UB40 05. Valention's Had Enough - Expressos 06. The Monster Club - The Pretty Things 07. Pavane - Faure 08. Transylvanian Terrors - John Georgiadis 09. Vienna Blood - Johann Strauss played by The John Georgiadis Ensemble 10. Ghouls Galore - Alan Hawkshaw 11. Monsters Rule O.K. Reprise - The Viewers Read on...
I'm lookin for you guys, but remember if you don't find it on you tube, you sure as hell ain't gonna find it on iTunes. If anybody has a link to a video or file of that song, I can get it, just let me know where it is at.
Please can anybody post stevie Lange singing from the monster club, movie the song the "stripper".The bands called night some idot removed a bloody good Vid.
in fact probably THE best song in the last 40 years!! what a great fucking film as well- in fact probably THE last good horror film !
Also, read the monster club book by chetwynd hayes- different stories in that as well as the ones in the film- great ENGLISH author with strange stories full of wit and sadly ,who's no longer with us!
Yeah, After I saw this movie I tried to find some of his books, but their all out of print in the US. I've tried looking the internet but everything of his costs an arm and a leg.
yeah, quite collectable now his books- i've got 2 copies of the monster club paperback- i could let you have one for about $20 inc postage if you want(not sure of exact postage from uk)- good condition- i might have a few more but there a bit rough quality, i'll check, cheers
This takes me back to the old clunk clik VCR's how many times we ran backwards and forwards to the VCR to rewind this song us wee girlies had a massive crush on BA Robertson even though we were only 10 at the time - nothing quite like men in makeup - Gary Numan also up there on the list.....
I loooooove this movie, and this was always one of my favorite parts. This song is so cool. I wonder if any bands have covered it yet. It's just screaming for a goth band...
I check on P2P networks frequently and it never turns up but its out there somewhere. About 10 years ago I heard it on radio when driving and nearly passed out behind the wheel in astonishment. I have been contemplating somehow linking the DVD player up to the computer and somehow getting the audio into MP3 format, is this possible..... anyone?
if it can be done, i'll get my geek on it. would be nice if it were on a cd along with the ghouls etc. family trees. check out KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE and JESUS CHRIST VAMPIRE HUNTER. can't find those soundtracks either
That should be very easy, actually. You can record wav files using sound recorder under accessories. Open your volume controls and select "wav out" as the record source (which will record sound your computer emits). You will want to have that slide setting down pretty low, just experiment. (part two following)
If your computer can play dvds (surely it can?!) just run the movie and hit record. Only thing left is to convert it into MP3, just google for that (and for any simple editing programs, just you need to do that).
on your pc: start->programs->accessories-> entertainment->sound recorder, and then follow the directions i gave. you can find the voulme controls i mention on the lower right of the task bar at the bottom of your screen--the little speaker icon. what you play the dvd with and what you record with are two different things
How this song did not become an 80's classic I will never know! I heard it once as an 8 year old in 1983 when my mother rented "The Monster Club" for me and my friends to watch at my birthday party and never forgot it until recently discovering it again on You Tube... I LOVE this song and I LOVE You Tube!!!
I've seen this betterthanbad horrorflick when I was a kid and was never able to convince anyone of it's brilliance. Watch it and enjoy the most horriifc striptease ever...
