Some of them are actually reflecting their true stylistic essence or personal style as opposed to having an image that is designed to cater to a particular fan base. Aesop's lyrics have a great deal of philosophical meaning behind them, and while I would never argue that a gimmick based rapper's lyrics lack depth, it seems more as if these lyrics primarily aim to elecit a reaction from a particular audience.

@thinkforasecond there's no argument to that, but it's just a sign of the times that tyler, the creator was picked up by the mainstream world.. whoever will make a quick buck the labels don't usually care about art and developing an artist the way they used to. since aesop is independent and has been he's been in creative control since the jump and has only evolved. the industry will strip tyler of the music he's made if he decides the money is worth more than the art. it's about perspective..
