I actually find the reader's voice tres appropriate, not only for this scene but for all of ASoIaF. His accents are subtle, but far from monotone. A highly animated narrator, complete with fake character voices would only detract from the poetry and flow of the written word itself. Read as it should be, IMO.
When I first read this, I viewed it as a sort of hazy memory with nine shady figures, three against six, with Ned in the middle of the six. This highlights how out-numbered the remaining kingsguard was and how remarkable it is that they slew 5 of their 7 adversaries. But hey, you came up with the idea and it's pretty bad ass, so who am I to critique?
I also agree with everyone else that Oberyn vs Gregor would be a brilliant next step.
I see all these comments saying how good of a reader Roy Detrice is and I have to disagree. At the start of the vid I thought some program like microsoft sam was being used. The reader seems very monotone.
Granted I haven't heard him do the other characters.
This scene shares context with what is perhaps the most important event in the story. And we never see that event take place! Looking forward to seeing the Sword of the Morning and the Lord Commander of the Kingsguard on HBO sunday.
I HOPE this scene is in the next episode of GoT. He recalls it down in the dungeon so let's see. Would be badass to see on screen if they do it justice.
Dotrice is an excellent reader for the most part, but some of his voices are a bit of.
However, it often seems like people want some kind of dramatization from their audiobooks, while I for one only want someone to read me the book while I travel or do the dishes. Audiobooks were there are multiple readers doing multiple voices are nearly always poor.
The animation is excellent, but that's the problem - it showcases just how lifeless and monotonous such a powerful scene can become at the mouth of an inept narrator. Dotrice sounds impatient to finish up and get his paycheck. Your illustration was worthy of better vocal performance than that, and is the single best argument against audiobooks I've ever seen. But if you're looking for more scenes to illustrate, any scene with Tyrion would be good. His final showdown with Tywin, for example.

Is that a pirate? Oh, it's just Roy Detrice.
Kidding aside, thanks for this. Good job.

"and now it begins"... Those words... It did not have much weight the first time I read it... But now, it feels very important...

You should do one of his scenes where he just talks endlessly about food.

I like the audio for this scene, quite good at portraying the complete lack of hesitation the KG had.
Brilliant animation!

No problem with your work, but the reader really sucks. If I had first encountered GoT in audio form, I would never have gotten into it...
