  • Jan had the looks attitude and connections :D I just wish him well now ! To this day I enjoy watching his past works :)

  • It's sad to learn that he's ended up in a bad way after being so good in his heyday in the 70's and 80's . I would go with what opalbabe1963 says. It would be great to see or hear that he's on the mend and working in film or TV again, even if it isn't quite at the height that he once was at. He must have family and friends who are helping him to get back on his feet. Look at David Haslehof , another big star of the 1980's . Jan Michael could at least be doing something like that .

  • what production was in when he was wearing them sexy overalls?

  • Just curious, did he have a drinking problem before he had the car accident, or after?

  • @UtsChick dont hold your breath movie was first episode of air wolf take care shane

  • Loser.....he had it all at one time.....flushed it all away

  • They should make a tv movie before the real movie comes out with the original cast to help hype the movie. The flying uniforms should be black!

  • I saw him once at Frys Electronics in Northern CA.

  • Jan was the Brad Pit of the '70's, i remember all my girlfriends were in love with the guy.

  • LOL!!!! "Snake bit, gut shot, broke leg, and draggin' 9 suckin' puppies up hill."

That's funny and shows good humor.

Here's to your humor Jan... and continued success in your battle against alcohol.

  • Why do you think He drank.Because of all these jerks putting them down. I spent a whole day with him in the pits of John Force at Pomona Drags And Yes he got drunk but He was and still is a great guy. Drinking cant always be helped give him a break.

  • Hes not gruesome like Micky Rourke ,in fact he looks pretty handsome still.

  • FUCK THAT "COMMENTATOR". DICK. JAN WILL ALWAYS BE THE BEST, AND BIG WEDNESDAY IS HIS LEGACY.

  • another movie star gone down, lost his addiction battle to alcohol, just a waste of skin, loved him in the mechanic,

  • Jan Michael looks rather good and at 52, what does everyone expect to see, a teen idol, geesh. ;)

  • @Zippertheslipper

I think this profile on Jan Micheal Vincent from Extra ( or ET) was about 12 years ago. Has condition has really gotten bad, to the point he can't remember anything. His good looks (sad to say) has really faded as well from the abuse of alcohol over the years.

  • i wanna see jan micheal in white line fever 2

  • How can you have "they" coolest name and job? Then just throw it out?

  • Hear The True Story on Howard 100 Sirius Radio Mammary Lane!

  • THE MECHANIC

  • Book? I guess he forgot to write it. I have been kind of fasinated with the life of this guy since watching a movie of his this summer. He really was like a Brad Pitt of his day. But at least he didn't get married, dump his wife for a woman who carries blood in a vile and walk around with a dozen kids. Brads life must be a nightmare, while Jan is living in a booze bottle. Something about handsome leading men.

  • damn, it's a really short fall to the bottom when you don't put your hands down.

  • Oh yeah, lock everybody up. That's the standard answer to every problem now isn't it? GIVE THE MAN A CHANCE to whip alcoholism. I have a friend who tried like 15 times to quit drinking but he finally did. He's healthy and has been sober for 24 years now. Here's wishing Vincent all the blessings possible in his fight. You can be negative and let people just go down for the count or you can LIFT THEM UP and help them have another chance to LIVE!
  • someone please lock him in hospital for his own good.He was such a good looking bloke. What a shame x

  • Yeah we have seen it all before with the media eg Princess Di.

The media can make you bigger than life and it can ruin your life and take it all away.

Its not all got to do with alcohol, drugs and car accident with Mr vincent's life its that bloody media. They would be the first to scream and jump up and down if it was there life that was being bagged out to the general public.

I hate these entertainment shows and womens magazines they such.

  • Jan-Michael Vincent did an interview on 20/20 in the year 2000. I heard that Jan was supposed to be coming out with a book. Can anyone tell me what happened with that?

  • Personally...I don't believe alcoholism is a disease...It's a choice one makes. Cancer IS a disease.

We used to watch Airwolf....Jan was such a good looking guy....sorry to see him in this condition.

  • hot mess

  • This guy lived in my neighboor hood up until a year or so ago.

Rural mississippi. Horrible alcoholic. Could barely walk.

  • He's in his 60s, so he really doesn't look all that bad for his age. Also, alcoholism is a disease, not a moral failing. So, while he behaved very badly during the Airwolf years, I'm sure he didn't choose to be an alcoholic; it chose him. Sadly, it made him waste his potential.

  • OH OH CHONGO!!!...Before brad Pitt was Dennis Quaid and before Dennis Quaid there was Jan Michael Vincent....Buster and Billie Hard Country Worlds Greatest Athlete- it should be a shame- but in reality he is just another in a long line of Hollywood Morons that couldn't be happy being themselves

  • What an asshole the commentator is, and even Extra for allowing that kind of introduction. That's just poor taste.

  • @taintedhistory2 And shame on Extra to label a 57 second clip 'part 1' I'll not bother to see the rest.

  • yeh he looks ok here... not as good as before but if you see him now......... succh a waste

  • Wow. Goes to show you how Prohibition got passed. This guy used to be really hot.

  • The hollywood lifestyle will kill ya everytime. Who has ever gone hollywood then came out better?

  • man, its just terrible how he turned out. What was the story with him.....was it like a Gary Busey thing....car/bike accidents and drugs and booze?

  • All I heard from him was draging dead puppies.

  • This was him back in the mid to late 1990s.. more recent footage has him looking really worse for wear. He still looks pretty good in this footage, but take a look at him a year or so ago in the Insider interview, he needs help getting into his chair... it's really tough to watch.

  • He still looks pretty good. He was my first actor crush when I seen him in the mechanic. He has been through a lot. At least he is still acting as of this airing. We all have our inner demons.

  • So, you're a man?

  • What a shame, shows you how alcohol kills or mames.

  • yup train yard wino or like a homeless biker he was cool he made some good movies in his prime

  • Seems to be a true fall from grace story, once a pop star now apparently not acting but sounding like train yard wino.

  • It is sad.. I wonder if he was middle class in stead of rich if he would have drank as much. Well there are poor drinkers too.. but if you can't afford it is dones control it. Like this tee shirt I saw the other day.. said BE POOR IT'S CHEAPER lol

  • damn that sucks what happened to him. yeah, he was more handsome than tom or brad pitt.

  • I can't stand those two queers Cruise and Pitt. However, i can say that Jean Michael Vincent had the looks and talent to blow those two cats away. He had a lot more charm as well. I fu*ing loved him as String Fellow Hawk in "Airwolf". I even bought all the seasons on DVD. What a shame :(.

  • I fell for Jan when I first saw him in Airwolf, I'd never seen him anything prior to that, and I still love him just as much today, despite everything that I have read and heard about his reputation, and the curreent state of his health.

Hang in there Jan, because there are lots of us who still really love and admire you and want to thank you for all the happiness you brought into our lives.

I guess it's true that fame and fortune can't always buy you happiness.

I hope you are happy now.

  • The most handsome actor in the last 30 years passing Robert Redford or Brad Pitt. Much talent displayed in Buster & Billie, Going Home.

  • Redford is a legend but Pitt is gay!!

  • He and me both gots the same problem, no giving up though. Keep it up there dude.

  • I love the way he laughed about what his rep supposedly is among those queers. Fuck Hollywood.

  • he looks great for someone who's 60 i guess?

unlike keith richard or mick jagger

  • I cant believe it!....I really fancied this guy when I was a teenager, boy has he lost it now!

  • This is so sad... Airwolf was my favorite show as a kid. I remember, in the show, he always shunned liqour.

  • I loved airwolf as a kid:) good luck to him.

  • He and T Bradshaw made a lot of oil money in 1977 or 1978 (March).

  • I loved airwolf. It's quite sad to see a once great man has put himself through that, but at the same time I think i'd find fame hard to cope with.

I hope the guy enjoys the rest of his life and gets the most he can from it.

  • he actually doesn't look as bad as he used too.

  • Yeah Zac Effron, enjoy it while ya can. I can tell already by your facial structure and cocky expresions. You're going down Jan-Michael Vincent territory when you get old.

  • Thanks 4 your 2cents!

  • 1,009 views, and not one smart ass comment.
